Hello! First of all, congrats to the developers for a wonderful game. I just went thru the VVII demo and love the improved graphics. I especially love the new things the children do like playing tag, laughing, and watching while a hut was built. This game is so charming.
I had an idea when I saw the fire. How about night time segments. The "night" could be short in duration and the villagers could still carry on with their chores using light from the fire, torches (they have to make) and moonlight. The children could go to bed, there could be cricket & owl sounds, fireflies, etc. I think it would make for an even more realistic setting and lots more fun.

I totally agree, and if they could, maybe bluid rafts to get off the island. Maybe Weddings? Maybe be intergated with the other tribe? Maybe hunt for small game and roast it on a spit? I Love the new game but it is totall harder to do... I like that

Wow I was just thinking about this the other day too, Yeah it would totally be cool if there was night time. I also love the idea for camp fire stories at night.

Given that a year lasts an hour, a night would last 10 seconds. The blinking would be a bit much.

Seasons would make more sense to me.

They can only get that on 1/2 speed.

The time span of the night I think has been the functional problem.

Seasons though? On a tropical island, that's generally hot and hotter (and maybe a rainy seasoon) \:D

There is a seasonal island event that says that spring has come and the pollen has set everybody sneezing. There follows a barrage of sneezing from the villagers, which, with 90 villagers, is quite loud. ;\) The villagers only sneeze, though, and no harm is done; they don't get sick at all.

I too love the game. I would love to see not only the children tugged in for the night, but the adults as well. Nice to see couples in love cuddle about the fire or water hand in hand in the moolight as well.

Bajantara makes the good point that on a tropical island paradise there's an 42 week season called "hot and rainy" and a 10 week season called "hurricane/monsoon/mango" season. OTOH, our crops aren't exactly tropical.

IT WOULD BE A NICE DIFFERENCE FOR THE GAME. TO HAVE NIGHT AND DAYS. TO HAVE FIRES AND THE VILLAGERS VISITING EACH OTHER. I UNDERSTABD ABOUT THE TIME DIFFERENCE. BUT NO ONE WOULD EVEN THINK ABOUT THAT. IF THEY DID. THEN THEY WOULD SAY. HUUUM!THAT WAS SURE QUICK GOING INTO THE HUT AND COMING OUT WITH A BABY.AND THEN THE BABY IS NO LONGER IN THE MOTHERS ARMS BUT 2 YEARS OLD RUNNING AROUND.I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE GAME.
IT MAY SOUND SILLY. BUT THEY BECOME VERY IMPORTANT TO SOME PEOPLE. I AM HOUSE BOUND,SO I VERY SELDOM GO OUT OF DOORS. AND GAMES LIKE THESE ARE A COMFORT TO SOME PEOPLE. AND THEY SURE ARE TO ME.I APPLAUD YOU ON MAKING A GAME REALISTIC ENOUGH TO KEEP PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT THIER LITTLE PEOPLE.AND CLEAN ENOUGH FOR EVERYONE ENCLUDING SMALL CHILDREN.AND IT IS SO VERY ENJOYABLE.

I completely agree with everything you've said there. This is truly a game for all ages.

night times would be great
and who says it has to "blink" like real time would?
give 5 min dark time for every hour or something like that would be fun.
but altogether i'm thrilled with VV2.
Haven't gotten very far yet. Between work and kids not alot of time. What I've seen I love.

THERE ISN'T A WAY TO ADD TO THESE PROGRAMS ARE THERE? BECAUSE WHEN WE REPLY ABOUT ADDING SOMETHING DIFFERENT TO THE PROGRAM,THEY CAN'T ADD THAT CAN THEY?
I DON'T THINK SO. BUT IT WOULD BE A NICE THING TO PUT INTO THE NEXT GAME,OR MAKING AN UPGRADED VERSION OF THIS ONE.
THESE GAMES ARE NOT GOING TO STOP HERE ARE THEY? IT WOULD BE ASHAME.
YOU COULD MAKE SO MANY DIFFERENT VERSIONS. AND WITH ALL THOSE BLOODY VIOLENT GAMES OUT THERE. THIS IS A BREATH OF FRESH AIR.
