1. Children could be able to carry firewood so an adult doesn't have to be taken off task to carry wood to the fire pit.

2. Children should automatically see the collectibles. Let them fight over who gets it and let them earn skill points for finding things. They could still go for the mushrooms on their own too.

I have enough trouble keeping the adults on task. This would allow the children to learn valuable skills too.

The kids should be able to pick the herbs for the stew. Not set it up or get the water or food, just pick the herbs. Maybe set up a storage area for herbs and let them pick and store them.

oh and not only herbs, but other ingredients that only the kids can find. So the stew will be even more mysterious!

I've seen posts mentioning kids playing tag. Is this something they do on their own, or can you encourage them to do it?
Thanks
Terri

They play tag by themselves, but if you drag an adult on to a child all the children come over to listen to a story or attend lessons

This game is a lot better than VV1. The children play with one another. They get bored and lonely. They listen to stories and the adults sit with them while they tell the stories.
The mother while nursing washes the baby, she changes the baby, she even shows the baby the ocean.
I was hoping that the children would pick the mushrooms on thier own.But they don't. But I guess the game wouldn't be challenging enough if everything was made easier for us.

The adults will tell the kids stories? The kids will go to school? I'm still trying to learn this game, but there is no building dedicated as a school building with a drum or bell, is that farther along (like after you get the third tech or engineering)? Everytime I accidentally moved an adult to close to a child, I get the message about them being too young. Heck, when the kid is sick and I try to move the doctor to them I have to try 3 or 4 times because he/she keeps running away and I keep getting that message.

Can anyone tell me is there a certain way to have the adult approach the kid, like only from the front or only from the back. Or do you have to pick up the kid and place the kid on the adult?

Thanks for the help.

Yeah I agree Grann, the kids on these islands are pretty stupid \:\)
There really is no reason they shouldn't do more.

If kids saw the collectables on their own there would be no point in having bonuses for collecting them because eventaully every single person would have them all without ever trying. The point behind them is to give you something to do when your not actively doing something else. Would you play or "watch" bejeweled if it solved itself. It wouldnt be much fun \:\) Your supposed to go around and pick them up.
