I thought I would start a Wish List for a patch or the next game.

Not in any order:

1)I would love to see the "Mother with baby" be able to tell stories or teach the children. Or walk around showing the baby (like she does now) but have the baby LEARN from this (then the baby would have SOME knowledge or likes/dislikes). Something that isn't really 'work'for a mother caring for a baby.

2)Stew recipe that creates a "runner" for a short period of time. My Runners get twice as much done as the regular villagers!

3)A little more of a difference in the LOOK of adults and Teens - I am having a problem telling some of them apart LOL.

4)Geneology Stay after the Child becomes an adult - so you know who the parents are.

Okay I started - would love to see some of your ideas.

i would like it if the mothers could pass the babies on to the teens (like baby-siting)

I'd like to see the mothers be able to earn some tech points. Any real parent knows it is hard work!

I'd like to see some "bratty" behavior from the little ones. Throwing a tantrum, doesn't want to share etc... and then interaction from an adult ... scolding child, sending child to time out. The child could grab a collectable and not want to put it in the research hut until spoken to by an adult.

I'd like for the little ones to go to an adult or nursing mom if something scares them or they fall or someone hurts their feelings. Some more interaction with the mothers than just wandering around alone.

Maybe at least be able to hug an adult without the adult running away because "this villager is too young." That seems perverted! \:\) I love the babysitting idea too!

I'd also like to see a father(s) stop what they are doing every once in awhile during the 2 years and show looking at baby. Checking on mother and child or something. He can go eat or get a drink, he can swing by!

oh, it would be nice if you could look inside the huts and decorate the inside, EXCEPT FOR THE "LOVE SHACK"

and there should be weather changes, like storms, snow, windy days, natural disasters, etc.

Assign teenagers to babysit the babies.

The ability to build decorations: IE tapesties, rugs, etc.

The option to build a privy!

Maybe, when the child was 9-10 years old, if the child was male, he would go with his father and the father could teach his son about what he (the father) does. If the child was female, she would go with her mother and the mother would teach her daughter about what she does. Sort of a "Take Your Kid To Work" Day.

The kids should be able to pick the herbs for the stew. Not set it up or get the water or food, just pick the herbs. Maybe set up a storage area for herbs and let them pick and store them.

I would like to see hunting added to the food... making venison... growing/picking cotton to make blankets/cloth for clothing... a lumber jack to chop down trees for building/clearing space for new huts... just some ideas...

It would be nice if you knew what "skill" you were getting when you 'clear vines' or 'make stew' or other odd jobs that do not fall into a catagory - something to indicate IF these are actually 'skills' or not?

No tech points, but there is a stew that can sometimes cause your nursing mothers gain some skill.... works on the kids too...go find it! heheheh \:D

When clearing the vines and briars i do believe you get building skills,,, at least you do for the brairs, i know that for sure cause i just finished it *for the second time had to start over* and my newly adept builders were masters when it was done. havent gotten to the vines yet, so well see i guess

One thing I'd really like to see is that ALL villagers get likes/dislikes. At the moment I have several that have no likes or dislikes at all. They don't have to affect anything, just be there for looks.

I like the idea of the kids picking collectibles and mushrooms on their own and also being able to pick herbs and take them to an herb area. But otherwise, I feel that most of the other suggestions would probably be too hard and suggest you check out other games because there are games that do most of the other suggestions here, but I don't want to offend the designers of this fun game by naming them here.

I love trying to figure out the puzzles. I already play a different type of game that is similar, but it does not have the puzzles. That is what draws me to this game and why I bought this second version and will buy the third, etc.

Yeah, I thought with the birds and the little arrow icon on the possible that they DID put in hunting. I was prettttyyy disappointed when it wasn't that at all. That would have been fun (and realistic)
And yes, it truely does suck that women don't gain parenting skills while nursing.
Talk about a chauvinistic, Boy';s Club Village. And with childbearing it makes it harder for women to become Masters.
(Yes I know it can be done, I have done it \:\) )
When will they burn their bras??

*wonders how to change her name to Negative Nelly :P ;)*

Women do get parenting skills while nursing their babies. If you watch carefully, you'll see it. \:\)

~I think the children should find the mushrooms all by themselves, and gain farming experience from it. Maybe after you show them how ___ many times (just like farming for adults) But that they shouldn't find the collectables alone. Since you get tech points from the duplicates, it should take a little work!
~I like the idea of them being able to gather herbs and storing them....that would be pretty cool. Who knows...maybe you'd be able to use the extra spices as currency...to buy clothing, or medicine for the sick....or higher education (be able to purchase getting your ability a little quicker)
~Being able to build an outhouse would be pretty cool. Maybe even able to build 2 or 3....maybe disease/sickness would spread quicker if you had too many people per outhouse.
~Being able to clean....houses need to be cleaned, the outhouse would need to be cleaned....it could be another job people could have!
But I love the game just as it is and will keep playing!! :-D

I'd like to see more island events inspired by what the villagers see and do.
For example, while training your doctor for the umpteeth time on herbs, s/he sees a _bug_ trapped in a web on one or wonders about the leaves or something and up pops an island event saying:

Doctor finds a _bug_ trapped in web, let it go or not?
Let it go: bites and kills doctors. Not: Spider eats _bug_ and the Doctor find out it's Charlotte and wins the next spelling bee.

Doctor wonders if the leaves will have medicinal purposes:
Doctor eat leaves, has an experience and viola, an intiation/totem animal to adulthood ritul starts and culture points are increased.
The doctor decides it's too dangerous and is never known as the next Louie Pasteur while his/her upstart apprentice eats the leaves becoming the island's most sucessful doctor and firing the wimpy doctor.

There's heaps of island events that could happen AS the village actually do things (like a coconut dropping on the farmer's head) Or they DO actually find a bag on the beach and then up pops an event.

Or maybe there could be moral choices too.

Do you decide to parent with the woman that just gave your brother children or not?
There are heaps of implications here.
Disease or duelling to name a couple.

Kayluv, I love all your above ideas. One thing with the collectibles though, it would be cool if they gain tech on the double ups \:\) Also, I'd like to see more tech points for the more rare collectibles.
For example uncommon gives 150 while a rare gives 200.

I'd also like more ways of customing your game rather than having the difficulty levels.
For instance, you can choose (to a point) how many villagers you start out with, 5,6,7,8,9 or even 10.
And you could choose what gender and what your intial villagers looked like if you wanted.
You could choose if you want a high number of resources or a low number.
If you wanted a lot of island events or a few.
You could more time speeds available, say 5x and 10x and 20x.

It would make the game playing a lot more individual and would result in quite different games. It would also mean you could find a style more suited to you.

Now that would be cool.

My most desired change would be to have the main menu page be the FIRST THING you see when the game loads. We need the ability to change our "tribe" or player BEFORE jumping straight into the game. Even if it was just an option that had to be set (I guess that would require universal options instead of only options tied to each tribe). My husband and I both play the game, and it's really frustrating to try to coordinate who's going to be playing the game next, so whose tribe should it be set on, etc. Not to mention the awkwardness of having to play the other person's game when a choice window or event window pops up (because you can't get to the menu to change the tribe without answering the choice or clicking "OK").

Lots of games similar to VV go straight to a main screen that enables you to choose your player prior to playing the game, so I've been puzzled ever since VV1 why this wasn't the case. I was sure it would be addressed for VV2.

Thanks for listening.

I'd like to see them take the shortest route in the farm. It also would be nice if they could make snares that would catch those darn parrots to use as food. The first or second level of farming should be enough to make snares.

And moms should be able to do work. In the real world a woman wouldn't be allowed to just sit around and "care for the baby." She'd be expected practically from the birth of the child to strap them to their back and work at farming and other things. The little kids should also have simple chores that help them gain skill points.

Someone else mentioned that they'd like o see a progree bar for trainee, adept and master. This would be great epecially if you could tell from the detail screen who was a master in what.
Especially as your village increases in size.

Just thought of some new things the kids can do. I find my children stopping and gathering around a mother with baby. They could "stop to see the baby" and sometimes if an older adult is sitting in the grass "lonely" one of my children will go and sit by them....it is nice, they could be "visiting with grandparent"

I also would like to see what the progresses are the villagers have without having to go in and change the preferences each time to see exactly where they are. The bar is deceiving at times
