I've lost all the villagers in my first VV2 village :(.

I had it going really well. I had 11 villagers with level 2 Farming and level 2 Engineering and lots of items collected. I almost had an Elder and I had two others with two Master and Adept skills each who were also well on the way to becoming Elders.

Then disaster struck :(. I not only got birds eating all the crops before they could be harvested, I also got algae on the sea so the villagers couldn't fish and the coconuts were all gone and to add to that all my kids grew up so I couldn't collect mushrooms any more. I didn't have enough tech points to get any more skills and so my poor villagers starved to death :(.

I've started again, so I hope these do better this time.

I meant to add to my previous post but I pressed the button to submit it before I realised what I'd done (that's what comes of doing things in a hurry :(!).

I posted it in Technical Issues because I've noticed that sometimes what the villager is ACTUALLY doing is not what the written description SAYS they are doing. For instance, I wanted a villager to harvest crops, so I selected one who was standing by the research table apparently doing nothing and it told me he was "harvesting coconuts". I've come across several instances of this. Has anyone else?

The villagers will display what they intend to do, even though they haven't actually started moving in that direction yet. That's normal.

HELP!

I started my brand new tribe a couple hours ago, very first time playing this game.

All was going really well. I had 2 researchers, 1 builder, 1 farmer, 1 13 year old and 2 other younger children. My kids had collected alot of items. I had purchased my second level of farming. My tech points were back up to around 4000. I left the village long enough to search for some motels for my Mom, wasn't gone for more then 10 minutes if even that, came back to find one event of a girl having a nightmare and the villagers wasn't sure to wake her or not, I chose to wake her but then when it went back to the scene, all but one villager was dead and the remaining one was very weak. My tech points are around 35,000 and no food, previously had around 800 in food. There is no way that I had that many tech points within 10 minutes with only 2 researchers, Heck, I didn't get that many within 2 hours.
I have the game on paused but with my only remaining villager that has zero on the meter for strength, I see no choice but to start over. Is this a major glitch or what?

Did you leave any villagers checked as farmers and doctors before you left

Oh I might add that when my last villager was burying the dead, only one tombstone ever showed up and all the other bodies are gone.

Could be your farmer fell ill, and with no doctor to heal him... and the researchers and builder just kept to their tasks until all the food was gone \:\(

It's hard when you're just starting to leave 2 doctors on duty, but there's always a chance that if you leave one, he falls ill... and then the rest of the scenario plays out.

That still don't resolve my sudden abundance of tech points, plus only one tombstone. I had been playing for probably about 4 hours prior to this and had only gathered around 7000 total tech points, then within 10 minutes it jumped to over 30,000, lol. Not possible with the same amount of techs.

Well, thank you for your help, it certainly was one possiblity for some of the problems, needless to say my last villager died so I had to start fresh.

Sounds like a clock issue. Hows your system clock...is it right, correct date and time, did you check a date and bump it ahead on accident when you were looking up hotels. That will be a sure fire way to accidentally mess up the game since its a real time game.

LOL but look at the results of cheating! My Parents always said that cheating is just not worth it and guess what? They were right! (for once, lmao)

I so feel for you, Dianthus. I've just started trying this game out, and I had my village to almost an identical place as you, when I had the exact same thing happen.

I thought my villagers were doing great, and I thought the birds were a random thing, and that the crops would come back again, so I left them overnight, woke up, and they were all dead. \:\(

Now I know what to do, after searching these forums - I'll just say that you need to build a scarecrow to scare off the birdies, but now I have to start all over, to get there again. So far, I'm 1900 tech points from starting construction on my new dam (that was my biggest hurdle in the first game, getting that [censored] dam built with the limited food supplies). \:D
