Hello, just a quick question:

If I buy vv2 for windows to play it on my Mac using Virtual PC, will I be able to unlock the game with the same registration when it becomes available for the Mac or will I have to buy another game to play natively on Mac?

I downloaded the PC version of vv2, installed it and I ran it successfully on my G4 !!! I have Virtual PC 7 running an emulation of Windows XP. Although the game didn't run smoothly on VPC (normal, it's a lousy windows emulator-doesn't take full advantage of the Mac's hardware), it gave me a good taste of what's to come.

Well now the demo period is over, and the wait for the Mac version is even harder than before!!! I was thinking of purchasing the PC version, even if it doesn't run too well in VPC, but only if I'll be able to transfer the registration on the Mac version when it comes out...

[clock ticking !!!]

The word is that the Mac version is a couple of weeks away in order to make sure it works well. Aside: I'd be fascinated to hear how it runs on an intel mac with parallels, bootcamp, etc.

I've also run under VPC (on a G5 dual 2.7) and it's not great for me. Probably a better game experience would be to wait a few weeks.

hehe, I was hoping to try it using Boot Camp on an Intel Mac, unfortunately the few peopIe know that have an Intel mac do not want to install Boot Camp or Parallel Desktops! Too bad, I would be curious to see how it runs. I'm sure the exprience would be a lot better than VPC as the game would be able to take advantage of the Mac's hardware.

But you're right about the wait, the game experience would be A LOT better running the game in it's full glory! I wouldn't have minded being able to fool around some and geet a feel for the strategy by trying it out for a couple of weeks on VPC before I started a brand new game natively on my Mac...

Oh well, at least I managed to see quite a few great add-ons to the game, Kudo's to developers and programmers at LDW!

The Windows version works fine on an Intel Mac with Boot Camp. I've tested that on one of our MacBook Pros. \:\)

Good to know!

Now I just need to go get myself an Intel Mac and run the game through Boot Camp! Hmmm that would be somewhat exagerated though...

Patience... Patience...

Oh well, I have about 1500 square feet of 6 inches of snow to shovel/plow...
Could surely use a team of builders now to help clear it out!

That will keep me busy while I wait ;\)
