Here are some nice new touches that really make a difference, for me, anyway... the grey hair! when I first had a little kid with white hair, I was disappointed, but told to wait, so I did...and now I see, the white-haired kid is maybe albino? lol...because as my other villagers aged, their hair did turn grey! The sparkling goodies! even the mushrooms now sparkle, which makes them much easier to spot with tired eyes! And, the giggling! I can't help but giggle myself every time I hear that genuine laugh! LDW...well done!

One new thing that I love about "The Lost Children" is the way the mothers care for their babies. Unlike "A New Home", when it just described mothers as "Caring for Baby", in VV2, it may say "Caring for Baby" or "Washing Baby" or "Changing Baby" or "Showing Baby Ocean". So it is much more detailed. I also like the additional behaviours of villagers, Like "Cooling Feet in Stream" or "Getting a Drink" or "Thinking". And I find it amusing when the children, and adults TOO, jump up and down when they are celebrating or for no reason at all!

I have the most beautiful little girl right now...she's in what looks most like a wedding dress, has long, brown hair with a golden headband, and she hums whenever I pick her up! I just adore her!

I love it when the kids 'watch the Scientists'! My Scientist is 15 and is nearly a Master! I also love the natural beauty of the Island!

I was really happy to see that so many of the issues and requests for the new game were considered. The gray hair for the older villagers, more things for the kids to do, the mothers wandering the island showing their babies around, the fire (but when it goes out there should be another graphic for that I almost missed it when it was out for a little while), the sewing hut (though I would have preferred another occupation working there as part of the game rather than having to pay for new clothes, and SO much too!), the hospital, menopause (older women not being able to conceive any longer), making the stew is kinda like the kitchen area so many requested. I wish the toilet area were not right next to the woodpile and love shack, maybe the next area of the island the villagers can go in the bushes off screen for a moment. I was excited to hear the new game was out, and downloaded it immediately. I really am happy with the new keyboard controls and the family tree, though it would have been better to keep the parents in the background and list children somewhere. I still wish that the puzzles or collectibles continued, like instead of just making the cutting tools once, they would need to renew their supply, or that the kids once they found something would hunt for it themselves or they would have had to use the collectibles to make new clothes or something. Mostly I am really happy with the new game, and thank Last Day Of Work for taking everyone's suggestions seriously and doing so much work to give us what we asked for!

The interaction between the kids and the adults with the kids was on my wish list after VV1, the games and the story time are the best things about VV@.

I like the revitilising stew, it's good being able to nurse your villagers to full health. It means you can increase the population sooner while not depending so much on food supply.
Oh and I love being able to put people on the research table without them getting pregnant!! In Virtual Villagers, I'd have only the men or only the women working on the table when there was a lot of people researching because if I mixed sexes I was always bound to throw someone on someone and then have a unwanted pregnancy!
Oh, I also love the Totem Poles, they're probably my favourite part of the this game. I like that you have something to work towards and I also like that there's a "reward" for gaining skills. It's a very nice touch.

Me too...and the new music. I fell asleep with the game running (on my laptop, in bed...I know, what a nerd) but I realized the music is just so relaxing. And has a bit of variety now, as well...I'm just really enjoying it all SO much

do you have to get an event to get the dragonfly's?
I too love the interactions going on, I did not get attached to any one villager in VV1, but in VV2 I have 2 V's that I just LOVE so much!

I, too, love the children's laughter, being able to see the parentage, and the interactions the adults can have with the children.
I also especially like the sewing hut! some of the less-attractive villagers (the guys with the fat faces and the crew-cut topknot on top of their heads?? ewwww!) look much better in a different set of threads. and I *hate* the striped jersey and shorts some of the villagers are born into! does it seem like the girls have more clothing options than the guys?

I think it's a nice??, realistic anyway, touch how the builders get hurt while cutting the briar. Those briar thorns can really rip your skin and often leave it a little red and swollen. I always make sure there is a pot of Revitilising Stew when they're cutting the briars

I just love the new "jumping" action everyone can do, but especially love to watch the kids play. The giggle is a nice touch too! Of course jumping into the pond is fun - I almost wish I could retire to Isola!
I don't mind the white haired kids - one of my first villagers in VV1 was a white haired gal. She worked dilligently all her life, never refusing a task and died way too young because I hadn't gotten to level 2 on medicine yet.

I just started playing VV2, and I'm perfectly delighted! So far, I almost want to say "what don't I love?" about it (nothing!). However, I particularly love a couple things... (totally new though.. and I refuse to read through MOST comments because I don't my surprises spoiled)..
1) The graphics. The colors are amazing and the detail is breathtaking. I love the abundance of background plants and flowers, and the less-boxy-feel of the outlay. The varied textures are great.. and the waterfall takes my breath away. Lovely.
I haven't made up my mind about the "stinking" mushrooms though (with the vapor wafting). Probably because my first thought was "oh, are those rotten now? I bet if I pick it, my entire tribe is going to die of poisoning or something."
2)The variety of activities. Children play "tag" and who is "it" is identified! This really made me grin. Mothers wash the babies (although I wonder if they've ever heard of impetigo?) and change the nappies!
3) The collections. Ok, so they're probably early-game biased (I don't know yet, don't tell me!) but they're sparkly and fun, and with the tech point "bonus" I don't think they're going to get dull any time soon.
4) Exploration tech. Haven't figgured it out yet, but I'm excited to see something that indicates curiosity beyond the borders. Have to confess, I wondered why the residents of Isola were never curious enough to build a boat.
Thank you for the wonderful game!
