i have had a look at the detailed help for the puzzles and i have followed what they say but im stuck, it says to get the cutting tool take a vv to the vines at the top which i did and she found something then it says to take them back and they should be able to make the tool, but it says on mine that a specail wood it needed... where do i find that?

Take her around the island - she'll find the wood. The same wood can (or did already) also help your farmers.

im wonderinf if you HAVE to pick up the cutting tool first..if you pick up the wood first does the message still say you need special wood assuming you picked up the tool first?

Im curious will have to try and see.

i have tried what you said ( sorry for being a pain) the only wood i have found it the wood for the fire and all it says is " gathering wood for fire" am i doing something wrong? i have got the things from the vines at the top but in need of the wood.

Take a look in the north, close to where you found the first part of the cutting tool.... pass your villager over anything that looks like wood (bearing in mind that wood originally grows)

look more to the north of the game with a skilled scientist. Drag him around and see what you find.

You have to get the cutting tool before the wood, i tried it already
