I've seen posts that say you can get helpful hints by clicking on the mask in the main menu. I'm not sure if I'm doing it wrong or what, but I am clicking on the mask in the bottom right corner and nothing is happening.

So far the game is great by the way!

The mask you need to click on is on the game screen, next to the Tech, Collections, and Menu buttons.
