Um how do you get someone to master 3 skills?

With persistence.

I mean before he or she dies.

It's usually possible. Some villagers seem to be resistant to learning new skills, but many will pick them up. Just make them change focus whenever they master something.

And remember for things like building, the fewer builders you have on it, the more skill each will gain over the course of the project.

Medical tech helps too, because they live longer.

You should be able to get several of your original villagers to elder status with out any problems. Even with only level 1 meds, it should not be a problem. It will take awhile, and time warping will make it more difficult.

Well I did i have one that was very close because he drank the orange liquid. When I came back he was dead. And also almost all of my orignal villagers are almost gone!

Ahhhh, well early on in the game, you might only want to make "safe" choices. Later on you can be more risky. Or once you learn all the in's and out's of the game.
