You are going at it the right way. But you have to have a certain tech level.

You're on the right track with the master farmer, but you need a certain tech level first ...

you have to have food level 3 and a master farmer, you have to let them get at least 10 yellow fishes, i think, i had 5 master farmers and i put them to do and i finally did it, your best bet is to have 2 or 3 master farmes and do it a few times.
good luck

Well you don't have the right tech level of the right tech just yet. Unless you have a lot people, you should be able to hold them off until you get what you need.

No igottapi4, she does not have the right tech to solve it yet.

Make sure you build the dam as soon as you can. That gives you a better chance of making it through. Looking for mushrooms can be important in this game - even a life saver - just as it is in VV1. Any duplicate collectibles you spot while looking for mushrooms also help your tech points.

The farms will support 12-15 villagers, more with coconuts and shrooms.
You won't be able to grow much more than that until you solve your present food source problems.

I'm having the same problem. My people keep dying because the crops won't grow fast enough and the mushrooms don't come fast enough and i'm still working towards level 3 food, but I think everyone will be dead by then :-(

You'll need to keep your population down until you can clean the ocean. I will not go over 9 until then. Since it takes time to meet the requirements to solve puzzle 7 you have to manage your food resources a lot better then in VV:ANH. As we have said, you will have to come at this game in a different manner as compared to VV:ANH.

I don't know. The farm will easly support 7 villagers with only one farmer. Or they getting sick and maybe not being healed?

nope :-/ none of them say they're sick, but it also takes like 400 minutes for the food to regrow and then that food is usually gone within 3 hours or so!

Ok, switch it to 2x speed until the garden comes back, then switch to normal or slow speed. Then when the crops are done switch back to 2x speed, and so on.

What speed are you playing at?
You should normally be able to build up a big enough stock of food to tide your villagers over the period of the empty field with the help of the mushrooms.

On 2x speed it should not take 400 minutes for the new crops. Have you time tralved?

Time travel involves changing the time on your pc to make the game play faster. However, you will make game play harder on yourself, and may also interfere with any programs that you have a subscription to, like virus protection software, for example. It's considered very bad form, and will prevent others from giving any help when asked. It also detracts from the game overall, which makes it a waste of your own money, and that's...just dumb.

Vvking, you can time-travel by, clicking on you're computers clock. But this can "kill" you're entire game, at one point. So I do not recomand it, and it affects not only you're game but you're whole computer.

As well as possibly messing up other windows programs it can cause strange side effects in VV. Even if you don't get strange things happening to your game it will prevent completely or delay your ability to get some of the puzzles in VV: TLC especially.
