like every game there are good and bad thing so lets comment on the thing that arent so hot.

for me theres only two things, ok three.

1st- thers too much getting sick here, every time i tune back to check someone was sick, not soo great when you have 90 villagers.

2nd- why is it that no villagers do on there own what they know like in vv1, in vv1 i could be away for a day or two and when i check againg they all had carreer(so to speak), but here noone does, i used the time cheat and noone had any "carreer", major problem.

3rd - why cant the oldies have kids? i had 20 villager, needed just one more puzzle and not a single woman felt like having a kid.

but dispite these three thing i lovvvvvveeeee this game, it is 10x better than vv1 yet just as good, my fave has too be the emotions and likes and dislike, and nothing beat playing tag.

Well as far as #1, I have not seen that. There are a couple of things you can do to keep your villagers healthy. One hint was given to you during the tutorial!

Time cheating will not be all the helpful with TLC. You are going to have to play with out cheating if you want all the puzzles. :P

Only the women are affected on #2.

Man you are racing through the game! Stop time cheating. :P

If you skip through that fast, you may not have the parents trained well-enough for the children to learn skills. In that sense the children will grow up ingorant. Also researching culture will enhance how much your children learn from their parents.

i did have 90 i used the time cheat but every one died to 20 villagers because noone fished. see what i mean. only 1 puzzle left and not one under 50. i had to restart.

Yep, as I said, time cheating will not be so "fun" in TLC. I would suggest enjoying the game by playing it, rather then "beating it".

Hmm... does the expression 'Cheaters never prosper' mean anything.

You've whined, complained and badgered the LDW staff that you can't wait for the release of the game, only to turn around cheat your way through and loose out on experiencing the full playing.

what can i say im very Impatient i have never been able to play fish tycoon or vv1 without time cheating.

LOL. Well there are consequences to doing so, and as you have seen even more in TLC.

One thing I don't like (the ONLY thing, so far) is I thought there would be no more grey haired babies? But no big deal, I guess it's countered by the fact that you can now see who the parents of each baby are....

I didn't mind the gray haired children, it was the ones with the overly large head/hair, that I'd would have put on a raft and floated them out to sea ... hehehehe

You know.. I thought about tme cheating, but it takes a lot of the random events away, not to mention the _bug_ that was mentioned when time cheating. Slow but sure is the way to go for me

It's not a _bug_ when you mess up the game by time warping. It's a natural consequence of changing the system clock, which the game relies on for proper operation of the real-time engine.

I just looked again at the original post in this thread. As well as admitting cheating by changing the system clock, I'm not surprised there are sick villagers. They like to keep warm, and will catch cold if the fire goes out. Messing with the clock is a surefire way to lose the fire, if you'll pardon the expression.

I would consider all the spoilers and guides cheating more than fast forwarding.

I worked out all the puzzles by myself with FFW. And people are quite entitled to play the game how they wish.

I think there is quite a lot of self righteous attitudes on these boards and I don't see why anyone else should get so worked up if someone wants to fast forward the slow parts

LadyCFII and others have spent a lot of time explaining the implications for the Operating System and other programmes when you "fast forward" your clock.

Why do we get worked up? Because then we end up wasting our time trying to solve peripheral problems that have occurred because of something that no programmer/developer writes code for.

agreed there should be a silent rule that if you time traveled, there is no support for ya...its just to random and hazardous and time consuming to pinpoint a problem that we think is legitamate that turns out to be a result or someone trying to take a shortcut. Everyone does have a right to play how they want, and i will not say i never time traveled i was well aware of the consequences in VV1 when i did and lost some villages to it before i played it the right way. But there again its like removing the sticker on your computer. Warranty void if removed.

Not trying to being self righteous. But I think what Arnie was getting at was the fact you were "complaining" about all the sick villagers. The reason you got all the sick villagers was because your fire went out because the of the time traveling.

The main point is this, and nothing more. I don't care if you time travel. As you've said, that is your choice. But the problem lies when you start having problems because of the time traveling, and blame the problems on the program. That the only problem I have. Does that make sense? I'm not putting you down for warping, just trying to point out why you are having problems. Just trying to be helpful. Fair enough?

Remember that time travel is NOT RECOMMENDED at all. It WILL STUFF up and MESS your computer up so it is NOT advisable when this is JUST A GAME!!
