My son and I have been watching the VV2 countdown religiously since they first announced it... and getting very antsy for it the last few weeks. Imagine my joy when I got up this morning and saw it in my Big Fish toolbar... and imagine HIS when he wakes up in a little while and sees it on the desktop. *grins*

May I just say that ya'll did amazing things this time. I love that there is so much else for the kids to do. I look forward to the challenges this village presents. Thank you guys!!

Yes I was SOOOOO excited too, as I was expecting to have to wait until about noon to get it (and since I work nights I didn't know if I was going to be able to stay awake long enough). But there it was on the toolbar "Virtual Villagers 2 - WOW"; and that was what I said too WOW! and YAY! and several other joyful exclamations. And since the kids are home from school for a snow and ice day there will probably be more joy shortly. And then hopefully a lot of silence as they get their villages up and running so I can take a nap.

So anyway I just wanted to say- Outstanding job LDW, thank you, thank you, thank you!

And now I must go cause I have villagers to train.

Yes, it's out and available exclusively through Big Fish Games right now. Big Fish members have a toolbar in thier browser that tells them the latest game available and gives them a one day head start on getting that game. Best part? With my membership, I get the game for $6.99. *grins*

No biggles yet, but I got friendly parrots who dropped 500 food in my bin... and I love the mommy changing baby, and the "cooling his feet in the stream" bits.

They did SUCH an awesome job on this!!

I'm loving it, too. The graphics are lovely (even falling petals) and I love all the little actions. One child's dislikes are "crowds" and half the time, her action is "feeling a little lonely." Hee!

Sweet. But you'll find out that this game will need to be played a little differently then ANH.

Enjoy, and considered yourself warned! hehehe

Also, it seems like once the kids drop off whatever they find, and do their little victory dance, that there's always something els to find right away. So there's always something to do. This game is FANTASTIC!

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Beautiful graphics. Love the collecting. Lots of cute little details--I've found myself chuckling out loud several times this morning. Could the kids jumping up and down after they bring home a collectible be any cuter? \:D

Kudos LDW!!!!!!! Thanks again!

I can only agree with all being said above in this post!
Just started playing 2 hours ago and I really love it!
So much to see, do, figure out....
Amazing work from LDW, my compliments! Absolutely worth the wait!

Pretty weird though, after playing VV1 for so long, that now I'm going to have to pay so much attention again and don't understand as much as 10 % of what's going on and what needs to be done / needs figuring out.

So I'll be checking in at the forum again regularly to read about what everyone is (trying to) figure out. Gives me idea's!

And thanks to the people that have figured things out and not giving away the clues too easily!! Warning for spoilers and doing the give-aways in white letters (so you can choose if you want to read them or not by marking the text) is much appreciated here!

I'm really going to take my time again, like with VV1, and enjoy the game. Can't understand why some people are screaming for the VV2 and then want to finish it in a couple of hours and then start wining that 'it was over so soon that it was not worth the money...'

Well everyone: hope you have lots of fun.
I sure do!!!

I'm just about the most impatient person on the planet yet there is so much going on in this game and it's such a pleasure to play that I'm taking my time.

What I'm noticing is that there is a good blend of old and new. There are familiar elements but a ton that is new. Kudos to the crew for striking such a perfect balance.

Is there a trick to getting the coconuts? I notice that that can be picked because there's 1500 or something like that left.

I got a good chuckle watching a farmer climp the tree and I like the fact that more mushrooms pop up.

I have been a lurker here for a while but i visit all the time and i just want to say that i love this game!
It was worth every second of the wait.
The villager cooling her feet in the stream had me cracking up.
Boy I'm glad Im not the one who has to drink from it though \:\)
I was addicted to VV1 and this one is even better.
I love the graphics and the villagers likes and dislikes and the little things they get up to.
Oh and i like the fact you can see the parents of the children \:\)
You have all done such a wonderful job with VV2.

I've been a long-time lurker, but I had to get an account to say how much I've been enjoying this game! The new graphics are great, and I love all the new things they can do \:\) I'm really looking forward to solving the puzzles, and so far, have resisted the urge to check out the help page.

I also had a first--a villager who dislikes learning! Once I realized that, I understood why he took so long to do stuff, and continually wandered off. Sadly, he's one of the two adults who found the kids. Some gene pool, eh? I've changed his name from Lapis to Doofus.

**Possible minor spoiler alert***
LOL I'm so glad you guys like "Biggles" he cracks us up too. Arthur and Carla had this terrific Idea for an event, and we were working on it one particularly busy day, and we had this sort of exchange: W: "So what should I call this mystery villager" A: "Idunno, just pick something" W: "OK Fine. Biggles. We're callin' him Biggles".
And we all cracked up, and the name stuck!

LOVE THIS GAME!!!!! This is the best way to recover from a cold. Hot tea with honey, VV2, and snuggled into a warm blanket, ahhhhhhhhh, life is good.

The keypad feature to look around the island is great!!! Was that on VV1?

I like the new gravestones as well (not to spoil too much, you'll see them eventually!)

Hi everyone,
just want to say hi. I am usually just a lurker (a nice one though!) ;\)
But I had to post and rave about the game!. I bought it just a few hours ago, and I am loving it. The first time I saw the birds, I freake out and through all my kid onto them.
alas they flew away!!!
I love the kids that giggle - I always tend to join them. I can't even bear to let this game run through the night! I have to put it on pause so I can enjoy every little bit of it. I am also really trying hard not to read any of the posts about this game (spoilers). Anyway everyone enjoy the game. It is really awesome and a nice way to spend some time. (although I am not getting alot of the house work done at the moment!)
Can you all relate.
