I have registered numerous times for the newsletter from this site and I have never received it. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how do you resolve it? Thanks all.

Newsletters and other mailings from LDW don't get sent out very often, since we don't like to create spam. We know that there are a number of email providers and ISPs that block email from LDW and/or put them in spam/junk/bulk folders. That's just the reality of commercial email these days. Adding ldw.com to your 'white list' can help with that situation.

Also, we maintain separate mailing lists for different purposes. There is a difference between signing up for the newsletter and signing up for specific game notifications on the Previews Page. If you want to make sure that you're notified of the release of the new Virtual Villagers game, you should sign up on the Previews Page. When you sign up for a particular mailing list, you should receive future mailings, but not mailings that have already been sent out.

We plan to start doing newsletters, prudently.

We will also use the newsletter lists to announce new games and important stuff.

That would be great if there would be regular newsletters because I check every single day for updates on VV2 and I CAN'T wait for it to be released!!!

I do too. It is so suspenseful just to keep checking the previews. A newsletter would be very informing.

I agree, we have been literally overwhelmed here with the development of VV2 but we are planning to start sending newsletters out. \:\) I would like to know which kind of newsletters you all prefer (just a plain email, a fancy one with images etc...) ... maybe we could make a poll...

Polls are always fun!
Maybe you could add a little bit of images for a tease...

I bet if you had a Poll on the most anticipated event of 2007
the release of VV2 would score #1!!!!!!

Fancy ones sound great! It would definitely give ldw more appeal even though it gets alot of notice already. I agree with Brown6084, polls are awesome too. Maybe even a column specifying ldw member's opinions on all games created by ldw. You know..for the members who don't always check the website.
