d) Put your village on 1/2 speed, Your villagers will be able to get more research done in between meals if you keep the game "open." Also, you'll start to see that your researchers will earn more tech points per session.

Don't let your food bin go to zero, your villagers will start losing health, but if it goes below 50, send a researcher to forage.
