There are lots of ways that comparing IP addresses won't find useful information, but sometimes people don't realize what is being checked. Alo, the way AOL works, multiple people using AOL will all show up as the same IP, even if they live in different places. Yes, different names and different email addresses will help. But in the poll I'm managing there was a clear case of ballot stuffing when 20 votes all came in from the same IP address in a thirty minute period, plus all of the names used were in alphabetical order. As I said, I don't know how they are processing the votes, they may just consider each verified address as a valid vote. I don't remember the exact wording they used when I voted (for VV of course!)
