After reading your four tips I have:

- tried downloading the game using internet explorer 7.0 instead of AOL.

- checked my hard drive for damage using the steps you provided.

- ran a scan to check for viruses, adware, and spyware.

- uninstalled AOL Safety & Security Center and tried reinstalling your game,

and nothing worked. The same message kept reappearing. If all else fails, would it be possible to obtain a refund. I would use it to buy your game from AOL Games, because their trial version worked on my computer.

From what I understand, the AOL Security Center is not easy to completely uninstall. Have you contacted AOL to see if they've implemented the fix yet? Their Security Center contains the component from CA that is responsible for the difficulty, and CA has already developed the fix.

If you want to pursue a refund, you will need to submit our support form, since those can't be handled on the forums. \:\)

Hello, it is me again. I received the refund and successfully installed VV on my PC through AOL. Now I would like to purchase VV2, but I want to know first if what was causing the problem has been changed or if I need to wait until AOL Games carries it. I would rather not wait because I don't think that they will be as generous as you guys and offer discounts to those who bought VV.

The problem that you had is caused by something that the AOL Security Center does to prevent the proper operation of the digital rights management software (the 'wrapper' that handles the registration code) in our version of the game. Since we use that software in all of our games, they will be affected the same way. In fact, there are many different software products on the market that the AOL Security Center interferes with. The problem is due to a component of the the Security Center provided by CA. CA has issued a fix for the problem, which has not been incorporated by AOL. Until AOL provides that fixed version to its users, the problem will continue. That's the best answer that I can give you - there is nothing that we can do to resolve the problem. It's up to AOL.

Right now, the game is available exclusively through our publisher, Big Fish Games. They don't offer discounts for previous purchasers of VV, but they don't use the same digital rights management software that we use, either, so you probably wouldn't experience the problem with their version.
