(CONTAINS SPOILER) Multiple births dropping off

My frequecy of twins and triplets seems to be waning. I've been playing for several weeks. I had a 'heydey' of about 3 days where my villagers were producing tons of twins and a few sets of triplets. This has drastically fallen off. I've tried making everyone in the village a master parent (hey, I had enough food...) and leaving them in that mode. I have all the fertility tech. I have the fetility fish. I have the GC and even checked him for breeding preference, in case that would help. I've tried feeding people the magic fruit. I'm still not getting many multiple births. I'm getting twins about once every 3 or 4 generations, and triplets even less often than that. Are multiple births totally random?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Good Grief, Have you not heard of birth control? The world is headed for a population overflow. Seriously, I really don't know, I have experianced that in a few games already. I have a current Village with a population of 35, and am keeping it at that point. I have solved all the puzzles with the excerption of the golden child (On purpose, 'cause, I just don't like him), and the puzzles that the Golden child is needed to solve. The Villagers are happy, and just plugging along.

Random stinks! LOL My multiple rankings in stats is so low compared to my other stats, I thought I was doing something wrong. Thanks for the help.

He,he,he. My villagers use birth control only when I want them to breed.
It was just driving me crazy that I couldn't figure it out. My stats in that area were low, and it seemed like everyone knew something I didn't.
Thanks for the info.

No, it's purely random. Multiple births are a good way to get to population max, but beyond that have little significance or correlation with anything happening in your game. I still get multiples in my established games, and the one time I opened a game to 101 villagers all the women were nursing single babies. =P

Thanks, Zylador. That's good to know. I appreciate your help and experience. I'll just chill and consider multiples really cute bonuses.
