I had my large game, with 66 villagers, on pause overnight because I hadn't had time to catch up with the various things that needed doing while I was sleeping.

The next day, I opened it and played it a while when it suddenly shut down of its own accord. When I opened it back up, it had not saved any of the "work" that had been done while it had been open. It opened just exactly the way it had been when I had opened it that morning--still on pause and everything.

Kind of frustrating, as several good things had happened in the mean time, and I'd done a lot of tedious work like training teenagers and naming a largish gaggle of children.

But also just kinda weird. Anyone ever had that happen before?

Heather

The game should be automatically saved every 10 minutes, so you shouldn't have lost a day's progress. How long had you been running it continuously, without quitting the game?

Well, not all day! LOL I rarely get more than half an hour at a time to sit down with it, so it was probably closer to 20 minutes, but it might have been as little as ten. It sure felt like a long time, but I guess training young teenagers can make the time seem to drag by pretty slowly. \:D Thanks!

I have two "have you ever had this happen "questions...
1. Some of the kids can't pick mushrooms?
2. Some how got all your tech and population of 90 and not have a builder in the bunch???
Got any answers????

1-It's possible that you placed the child just a few seconds before the mushroom was to wilt away. This is a '_bug_' that is in the game where the mushroom is still visible when it is not pickable anymore.

2-Once you've finished all the building projects there is no need to keep a builder so yes, having pop 90 w/ no builder is not abnormal. You can however still train builders after building projects have been completed but all the will do is 'fixing hut'. The huts will not fall in disrepair if you don't 'fix' them though, it's just a way for you to keep builders if you want 'em.

Once all has been built the only thing builders can do is fix the huts you built. It takes a very very very long time for them to increase skills though since they are not really accomplishing anything usefull. As far as the 2 stone objects, builders will not do anything to them.

When any program crashes, you will lose the things that you have accomplished since the last time it was saved. That's normal. Did you write down the error message that you received? The error code can help us determine what happened.
