I have had this happen before and it just happened on this island. I am scrolling around my island and there will be a loud crash like sound, almost a cave in exlosion type sound. Has anyone else every had this happen. I have heard it 2 or 3 times on other islands and never posted anything about it. Perhaps someone else can shed some light on this.

It's most likely a villager exercising with rocks. It's been talked about several times before.

I have never heard it before, but I will start paying more attention.

I just had a villager exercising with a rock (never seen that before) and there was a weird noise!!!! I hope that solves the mystery of the weird noise

You will typically only hear the booming sound when you are viewing the bottom left hand corner. I still like to think it is cannon fire from a pirate ship, but hey, that’s just me.

ya the scared me the first time I heard it too! I thought someone was putting the boulder back over the cave I started screaming nooooooo!!!! my kids thought I was crazy...lol
