Those fizzy liquids. When I choose them, I often wish I hadn't, but when I ignore them, then I spend the next 2 hours wondering if I missed out on something good

I think fizzy is always bad, blue is always good, and red just changes appearances, but I could be wrong. Anyone else want to help console poor bajantara? ^^

I think fizzy usually causes villagers to lose skill, and red could vary (like that vapor). But then there is the watery/oily thing about the liquids...

My husband had a four year old drink the blue fuzzy. Little guy felt better than he had in years....he died. I hate the strange face in the woods. Only twice did it turn out to be a four-teen year old Master Farmer. The other three times I lost someone.

They are just random WelshGirl. Some times you might get the same event two or three times in one game. And we really don't know how many different events there are.

After 5 months of playing I have finally gotten babies in a barrel. One time I opened the barrel and found rats, they bit my villagers and they got sick. I now make sure I only select the carefully sealed crates and barrels, anything rotting or unsecured is usually bad. Also I notice the blue liquids are usually o.k. I think it is viagra in a liquid form. The oily things I avoid.

I don't mind the ones that make the villagers sick. I usually view it as an opportunity to give more villagers (and especially kids) healing skills. And that comes in helpful when the village if functioning without my "guidance."

True, but it can be annoying when I have to heal 50 plus kids and the doc won't stay on task, he would rather do laundry.

My biggest mistake and I still don't know if it is redeemable is not to designate a builder...I have all my tech but cannot build the temple or get a golden child....unless some one out there has an answer to my dumbest mistake :-(
PS I have whined to lots of folks and no answers as yet...I do wonder if anyone elso has ever done this???

You should be able to drop any villager on a those areas and they will try to work on it. The act of working on those projects will train them. You can also train a new builder by dropping a villager on one of the three huts that your tribe has already built. Make sure that their action says, "fixing hut" and they will start to learn building skill.

I had the funniest experience with the fuzzy blue liquid(at least I think it was blue)anyway my adult woman turned into a 2 year old. That wasn't the funny part. She was nursing a baby. When she turned into the little girl she had this baby in her arms which was as big as she was.And here she was a baby nursing a baby. She couldn't pick up mushrooms. And she couldn't work. But when I left the game for about an hour and came back to the game, she was carrying a bowl of water. And the weirdest thing about that, was before she drank the fizzy liquid she was a researcher. So there wouldn't have been any reason for her to be carrting the water like a farmer.I have played the game quite awhile now.I have had a few games going on at the same time.I have had them drink the liquids just to change things a little. They either go back to thier childhood or they have changed to look like someone else. They lost thier abilities and things like that. But I never laughed so hard in my life as I have with my little 2 year old mama.honestly has anyone ever had this one happen?

i am so sad, i let the golden child read a book, and keep it to himself. he wandered off with his infinite wisdom, never to be seen again. And once your Golden Child is born, you can't do that again! Fortunately i have solved all of the puzzles, but i miss my golden child, and i want him back for that game!

I have done this too, and learned from my mistake. First thing, i always designate a doctor. this keeps them living longer, to get some of those food/research points. When i have at least 9 villagers, i always designate a second builder. When designating a breeder, i make sure he/she has multiple skills to pass on to the next gen., especially healing and/or building.

Well, I was playing my first game on "Hard" and I got the face in the woods. It appeared to a grown woman (I had two women, two men, and a little girl). I knew the risk, but I decided to take it. And darned if that ungrateful wench did run off with her master farmer and abandon the rest of them. I know she did. She was living pretty with plenty of food and probably got made queen or something while the other poor refugees struggled along.

Is the master farmer always 14? She likes younger guys, I guess. Well, she was only 18 or 19.

Yeah! I found your answer...sorry to say I have tried this for two days and there is no movement in the skill of ANY of my villagers....I am just wondering if any one has ever got to this point..I honestly think if you don't have builders before the buildings are done you can't make them...please prove me wrong...tell me something I haven't tried....thanks for being there! Then all you have to do to train a new builder is to drop a villager on one of the small huts to the left of the research table. Make sure that their action says, "Fixing hut" and watch them to see if they're successful. If they don't succeed, keep trying until they do. If their action says, "Examining hut" pick them up and try again - they won't get skill from that action. After they succeed at fixing the hut, they will have some building skill and will start fixing huts on their own. It will take awhile for them to develop to Master level, but they will eventually make it.

One of the games I have running right now, Ono drank blue and he gained breeding skills. Given the fact all the ladies run away from him, Ono needs all the help he can get \:\?

If that happened to me! I would use ctrl alt and del . You get the task manager. Highlight Virtual Villagers and end it. Reopen the game and you get another event, but don't use the Golden Child. I often do that if some thing really bad happens to my tribe.

Why do so many people hate the Golden Child?! He's awesome! I don't see whats so annoying about him starting parties. Because when you've gotten all the puzzles completed there's no need to keep on working. and it keeps the game from having the same old routine.

I think the one major thing that most people hate in reference to the parties he throws is that he tends to throw them in the worst possible times, such as trying to recover from a devastating island event or when trying to bury the dead.

Also, in reference to the devastating island events, especially ones where all of the food disappears or goes down drastically, he never seems to help create more berries or more crops when these happen but seems to consistently do it when there is no need.

That's why the GC gets on my last nerve and I start to hate him. \:\) Otherwise, he's alright. \:\)

I agree, Sam! And the party can heal all the villagers when there is an epidemic, for example!!
Me I like very much that little nice kid!!

I did forget about that perk laurence. Yes, if all of your people are sick or even if only a few are sick, if the GC throws a party, the sick are miraculously healed. \:D Perfect for when epidemics appear.
