Zola has 'fish' among her dislikes, as well as 'surprises'. At the moment I'm using her as an adept farmer. Because she doesn't like fish, I of course can't use her for fishing, so she's busy harvesting the crops. However, when she gets to the food bin and puts in her load of veggies she stands still for a second or two, then runs away. I can only assume she doesn't like the fish in the bin the fishermen have caught.
I'll start rebuilding the temple soon so I'll switch her to building - she's an adept at that as well - to see if that calms her down.

Part of a farmer's repertoire includes fishing if all requirements for it are met. Despite whatever coaxing you may do to keep her farming and away from the ocean and the fish, the thought will still cross her mind that as a farmer she should fish, at which point she'll run away. And I speak from experience here... I have a villager myself in an established village that I tried dunking repeatedly to get him to fish. Unlike a villager who dislikes berries yet can be coerced to forage, this villager will have nothing to do with fishing and now is so traumatized that he's running amok in fear that the big hand in the sky will make him fish again. =P

I've had the same thing happen with a farmer who disliked fish, as yours is doing mine would 'run away' after placing crops in the food bin.

Anyone in my games who don't like fish get made into either Doctors or Parents. It's easier to get the productivity out of everyone that way. Requires a little more training in some aspects, but it's worth it in the longrun for me.

I've switched her to building and she's much more happy!

I have to admit to finding all this emancipation very, very funny. Do you think if there were more female builders in real life that houses would be better built ?? Ummmm, I getting a NO!! Imagine it if you will, lady builder, "Well that weight baring wall just has to go!! How will you be able to get in the white sofa with the lavador color pillows with matching curtains with that silly ole weight bearing wall? Let's just take it out now, shall we?" Upon doing so, 16 tons of lumber come crumbling down upon the little carpenters. I'm just joking around you all, but you have to admit that did go through your minds as well. Right? It did right? And if you would like to file a complaint about the above fictional comments please email them to gc@ldw.com and he will be on it like a kid pee’s in the garden.

It wouldn't work in real life. The lady builders would decide that the toolbelt, boots, and hard hat didn't go with their outfit. Even if they wore the toolbelt, their narrower waists mean that they can't fit so many tools in, so they couldn't work so fast. [Ducks and runs for cover]

If we women built houses then multiple bathrooms and walk-in closets standard. And the bathrooms would have tolits wherein the seat would automaticly lower after use.
