How do I earn Tech points? I have played for hours and I only earned enough for 2 upgrades. I read somewhere that some events give points but I havent had any. Can someone please help me. I have read all through this forum and there is no exact answer to my question. Thanks in advance.

There are several ways to increase your Tech Points.

1) Have lots of villagers researching. At Level 1 Science each villager can earn from 1-15 Tech Points. Obviously, the more people you have, the more Tech Points you earn.

2) Increase your Science Levels. The maximum number of Tech Points a villager can earn is 20 at Level 2 Science and 33 at Level 3 Science. If you don't have anything else vital that needs your attention, such as food, then increasing Science is to your benefit.

3) Watch or listen to notice when your villagers have earned Tech Points. They'll do what people have described as a "kick step" and you'll hear the clinking of bottles again. Once they do that, you can pick them up and have them research again. Note that I wouldn't recommend doing this too much, since villagers can get injured by researching, and the more you have them research, the more likely they'll get injured just from repetition alone!

Also, put your game on 1/2 speed. Your villagers will have more research "sessions" per Village Year that way.

I will usually upgrade my Science Levels as soon as I can so each session is worth more, as well as upgrade my Medicine so that the villagers will be older before they enter "Elderly" mode. They will still work after that, but at a slower pace.

There are some events that will add tech points, but also some that will remove some (bad, bad monkey!) In additional a few valuable events that will upgrade a specific Tech Level! But after the first two, events arrive about once a day (that you check-in)
