Not sure how it happened, but when I was checking one of my games for maintenance stuff, I noticed that I had 94 villagers! There wasn't an event that caused it, and it didn't even have recent twins or triplets. Just some "feature" that allows my population to grow passed the 90 limit.

It's not uncommon to have a population that high without an Island Event or multiple births causing it. If you have a look at the leaderboard, you'll see quite a few. When the game is left off for awhile, the "extra" villagers can be created at game launch. I guess the computer can make babies quickly enough to get around the population limit. When the game is running, we're just not fast enough to pull it off!

I had just assumed that the entries on the leaderboard were from those that had and event at the right time (the population was already slightly over max becuase of mulitple births.

I suspected that there was some sort of race condition that happened and several women all mated at about the same time.

I decided that when the GC "makes a party" he sometimes makes an orgy. This morning I brought the game up just to make sure nothing desperately needed my attention. I came back after my shower - no more than 15 mins. later and suddenly every female over the age of 17 had a baby - most of them twins.

LOL, well the GC's parties do bring everyone close together, and what they do after the party is of their own volition! ; )
