Thanks for being patient with me. \:\)

I'm wondering how much of a role inheritance plays? Do villagers inherit hair color, facial features, and such from their parents? What about taste in clothing? Interests--likes, dislikes, likely skills? Temperaments?

Just curious. \:\)

The only thing I know that villagers definately inherit is skill.

What the baby looks like, likes, and dislikes are completely random ( or many would've bred runners ;\) )

Thank you! I've been trying to figure out parentage based on looks, but now I see that's not possible. \:D

Another question, then--does it matter (other than ick factor) if sisters breed brothers, mothers sons, fathers daughters, etc.? In other words, is inbreeding an issue to be concerned about?

Of coarse not! I used to worry about this ( including trying to keep bloodline charts ), but then i just waved my hands up in the air and said "If you are gonna just breed by yourself, without tellin me who your hubby is, than i just quit!" (dramaticaly waves fist in air).

Note: I don't have a log to keep track of what my villagers do, so ...

Thanks, Izzy! I actually kinda wish there were more inheritance--it would be fun to see if you could develop strains of a certain look or type of temperament. And I wouldn't mind keeping bloodlines--but since it doesn't matter, you've just saved me a lot of bother trying to figure it out! LOL

Thanks,

Heather
