Thanks! This is all very helpful. Am on my 2nd game, trying it with a slightly different strategy. Didn't get to finish game #1, as it was on my laptop that died on Christmas eve (aarrgghh!)On this game, I've been trying to rack up research points and food. Didn't both trying to get the beach cleaned, for example, until I was halfway to having enough points for level 3 farming so we could fish. Have decided to try not doing the lagoon until I need it as a step toward the next puzzles. (No, you DONT get to do laundry! live with it!)
Have been very prudent with breeding (IPPA -- Isola Planned Parenthood Assn) but may have outsmarted myself in this area as I'm now in that awkward stage where everybody is either getting elderly, or is too young to breed, with only 2 males and 2 females in the young breeding age category and I really need to be growing the next generation of master farmers, builders and healers.
Worried about overworking my newly elderly types or putting them at tasks that cause injury. At the moment, as we desparately need hut 2, I decided to go for it and let all the elderly work on it, but let them goof off when they want, not only eating/ drinking but also with new, old-folk behaviors like "relaxing", "arguing" and "exercising" as that seems to have a good impact on their health. (the others I drag them back to work!)
This is a great game - so many nuances.
