A few clarifications on what Charley posted...
QUESTION 3: If you don't have breeding checked but they've got experience (trainee parent) will they take initiative in this area and head for the love shack when they're supposed to be researching / farming?
Sometimes.
Yes they do... and usually at the most inopportune times! -_-
QUESTION 4: It seems like Master Scientists earn tech points faster than Adept or Trainee, but they all get the same number of points per "research unit" only Masters earn them faster, or do they earn more points per "research" the higher the level? With farmers, it seems like each food basket is worth the same amount, but master farmers are a little faster in gathering. Adepts don't seem faster than trainees but seem less likely to goof off. Is this perception correct and is this how it works?
Good question, masters i think can earn 30, i really wouldn't know. You've lost me!!
At level 1 Science, Untrained scientists learn 1, 2, and then 3 on their first three successful researches. At that point they turn into Trainees where they earn from 4 to about 8 points. Adepts learn from 8 to 12 points, and Masters can learn up to 15 points at max skill.
TECH LEVELS PROPERTIES:
QUESTION 1: Level 2 and Level 3 Science enable them to earn tech points faster. How MUCH faster and how does that work? I've not noticed much of a difference in how much faster they earn points now that I've got level 2. Do they just complete each "research unit" faster in level 2 and faster still in level 3, or do they actually get more points at the higher level. If so, how many points do they get at #2 and #3?
well i know a master sientist, can earn 33 points per go, if he fully understands reasearch.
At level 2 an Untrained scientist will get one extra point per successful research. A Master scientist will get 20 max. And yes, at level 3 a Master scientist will get 33 points max per stint at the table.
QUESTION 3: Does the Fertility Fish enable the VV's to have twins & triplets or is that only possible w/ Fertility level #3?
I don't think it really effects the villagers.
The fish just makes their breeding attempts more successful. I think twins are possible with Fertility level 2, and triplets possible with Fertility level 3.
QUESTION 4: Medicine and Longevity. Okay, when I only had Level 1 medicine, people got Elderly at 50. Then I bought Level 2, and my 50 year old went back to "healthy" and others who have turned 50 didn't get Elderly. But the guy who had been elderly at 50 has reverted to Elderly status at age 58. (eek!) although his red "life / health" bar is at the max. I'm guessing this is because he'd already been "elderly" once? What's the normal age for "Elderly" at level 2 medicine vs level 3 medicine?
Does this also affect how old a woman can be and still breed?
I think 60 or 55 is for levle 2 medi, levle 3 is an age of 66.
Your numbers are right... it's 50 for level 1, 58 for level 2, and 66 for level 3. Villagers can breed at any age, but if they're elderly the chances of them surviving for the baby to start running around are lessened.
QUESTION 5: Re: Medicine again. Do you have to have Level 3 medicine before anybody can become a Master Doctor?
Nope!!
And special events can turn your farmers, builders, or whatever into Master doctors at the tip of a... well, flask of potion!
