If he's pausing to wait for someone, it's not necessarily for Embracing... others may want to Teach, Argue, Tell a Joke, or even Praise. When a villager does that repeatedly, then it's usually an indicator that he's the "leader" of the tribe, so don't expect the poor guy to get any work done with everyone else sharing their personal lives with him!

Thanks Barbara -- as soon as I quit the game each time, I open up the log file in Notepad and re-save it under a different name as noted. If I do a word search on the word "mated" it doesn't come up at all, despite numerous matings (and children) in that time period. So, it sounds like my log isn't recording right for some reason. Is there something I can do to configure it so it logs mating events?
