I have two games going at all times. They have been going since September. I have read about some of the island events that the rest of you have had. I find it weird that I have not seen many of these events. I have never had the dream events or any baby crates wash up on shore. I have never had the pearl thing either. I have had the whale twice and the vials several times. I had the spiders today, that was a first. \:8 I wonder what the odds are to get the babies.

What I actually said was that the game was supposed to be kinder when things were going badly, and that statement was made last year about Village Sim for Palm. The Island Events work differently in Virtual Villagers: there are many more events with more varied outsomes than there were in Village Sim, they don't occur nearly as often, and they don't appear to "care" whether or not your village is in trouble. ;\)

i'll testify to that!!!!

i never get the event i need when my villages are going under. fortunately i havea few tricks up my sleeves (thanks to these forums) and i've only had one established village completely die out on me...

when i desperately need food, or a new villager, i seem to get the "not feeling quite themselves" events where they change heads...and i seem to get the "gained a new level" ones only after i've gotten all my techs....

but, that is what keeps the game very very interesting (and addicting)
