Sorry if someone already mentioned this, but I've noticed several times as I was trying to get villagers healed, that when they were called away by GC to dance, they appeared to be healed by the dancing.

Well I never thought of that, but now that you mention it, it makes sense. After all, they're enjoying themselves and getting the blood flowing, which creates endorphins, which creates serotonin, which gets the brain going. BTW, hello from a fellow Texan. =)

I actually like to heal villagers myself sometimes. I generally like to use 12-13 yr old children to do a lot of heaing when there is an epidemic because then I know that there will be adults with healing powers in case the there is an outbreak of illnesses when I have the game turned off.
But yes, when he throws a party any and all villagers who are ailing will feel better again.

I didn't think 12-13 yr old kids could heal. I thought that was 14? If you're right i'll remember that.

anyone can heal, even the kids. however they won't do it themselves, you have to make them do it until they are 14. at 14 they will do it automatically

Well, this is another nice thing the GC does - heal thru dance. I, too, just learned that the kids can heal - another nice benefit. I'm so excited about VV2. I'll prob never leave this computer now (the chair is slowly taking on the shape of my nether regions.)
Hey fellow Texan, Eyeshigh! Has it cooled off down there, yet? :0)

you know texas weather is wacky! one day its like 30 degrees out, the next is sunbathing weather. This morning it was in the mis 50s, now in the 80s. yesterday was high 80s, last week was in the mid 40s. i unpacked my long sleeve shirts, then had to go and get all my short sleeve shirts back out.
right now my plan is to wear a long sleeve shirt under a short sleeve shirt, wear a light jacket, and leave the parka and my heavy gloves in the car. that way i can adjust to the temp when its needed.
i think it was two weeks ago that we had this awful cold snap. it was beautiful in the morning, mid 80s. by lunch the windows in my classroom were frosted over, by night it was in the 30s. and a lot of us (especially the kids) had come to school in short sleeve shirts and no jackets.

However, when the GC heals by throwing a party, their status bar doesn't change. So if they were close to "empty" they'll stay that way unless you take them to eat (except for nursing mothers or kids) or hope that they will heal rather than get sick again or injured.
That's why I like healing the villagers myself, it adds a bit to the the status bar (plus give the kids some training...)

i didn't realize it did aid them a bit...just gives me more reason to hate those dern parties.
although, i do think it is noteworthy that although i had the game on for the majority of my birthday, i never once saw the little bugger throw me a party
maybe that in and of itself was my present lol

Flutequeen, you're the one that shouted out to me as a fellow Texan and I neglected to shout back at ya. Hey, Flutequeen! I looked up and saw Houston and Eyeshigh, so sorry i missed sayin' hey to you, too. I'm sure you can relate to the highs and lows in TX weather. I remember that cold snap a couple weeks ago, Eyeshigh, cause I didn't bring my jacket with me that day. Burr. That's one thing Isola is free of - cold weather.
Sfrose, I agree it is best to keep an eye on those health meter bars and keep the villagers fed and nurtured. I just wish those bars were visible when you clicked on the villagers vs. clicking another button to look at their stats, cause man I get to clickety clacking around checking all 90 villagers' health, and my clicker finger starts hurting. But then, that could also be old-itis setting in. Hee.

Eyeshigh, if GC WOULD have thrown you a birthday party, I'll bet you would have fallen out of your chair! Hee hee. Happy belated birthday!

When I've been away from my computer and want to check on my villages, the first thing I do (after deciding on the event, if needed) is go to the Details screen and quickly scroll through the population. That will show me any villagers who are sick or in the rare instances, those whose health bars are critical.
After curing each villager (dragging them to the "clinic" area and grabbing a kid from the garden), I'll watch to make sure that all of the dead are buried.
Then I check on any other "maintenance" that is needed (like how many breeders I have and making sure any teenagers have something to do) and then go on to the next game.
