I have like 300 foods, and 10000 tech points. I have no idea what to do when food is over, because the crops will harvest in 700 minutes. So I decided not to play anymore until I find a way to get more food. Any suggestions?

you didn't say how many people you have to feed.... but you need to hunt the mushrooms and get the children to pick them to help eke out the food supply. Even for running at 1/2 speed, 700 minutes seems unually long though. Have you been changing your system time?

First of all, DON'T MESS WITH YOUR COMPUTER CLOCK TO ACCELERATE THE GAME! It will catch up with you as it has.

Pick berries until you can start farming by buying the farming technology. Keep as many people researching as possible.

That is an awfully lot of time to wait for food.I thought that 300 minutes was alot.I put as many of villagers at the Tech table to build up my points,because you can buy more farming for fishing (which fish don't run out).My little villagers got weaker and weaker until most of them died.I messed around with the real time and it helped as far as getting more tech points and solving puzzles faster.But my villagers were dying on account of that.Just keep the children busy picking mushrooms and if you only have a few villagers this should help.But make sure you have the doctor available,because they will get weaker and slower and they will need healing.

Lulu, first look at a thread just a few lines down called "completely new" by bab006 (I think) and I've given the tip there about watching your researchers at the table and when they give a kick to pick them up and put them back.

It looks as if you may have altered your clock. I did this once by accident and learned from that mistake (I actually forgot to change the day when I was trying to adjust my clock to correct time) and I had similar problem with crop times, though not quite as long as 700 minutes.

Best to play 1/2 speed as this conserves food eaten, although it will take longer for crops, it's a balancing act.

Another tip about mushrooms in case you don't know. You have to take mushroom hunting serious when you're low on food, so keep a sharp eye out and when you spot one, pause game and place all children (youngest/smallest first) on the mushie then unpause, it will help increase food points. It's really helpful when a red mushie appears as they are worth, I think, 45 food points each.
