Hi everyone,

We are working all day, every day to bring you the next chapter in the Virtual Villagers saga! It is coming out very nicely, if you ask me.

Still, more and more we are hearing that people are waiting/hoping for it to be finished in time to have it under the tree this Holiday season. While the wait will not be much longer, I would not want to create any false expectations...we still do not have a release date scheduled and the most important thing for us will be to get the game 'just right' and make it as good as we possibly can.

With this in mind, thanks for the enthusiasm, and stay patient a little longer! The story will continue soon...

With official beta testing not yet started, I think we already figured out that a pre-Christmas release wasn't likely

I think we would all really rather wait and have a game full of goodies than a quick version in time for Christmas. Thanks for keeping us up to date. You guys are always so great about responding to our questions in a quick fashion. That is what seperates you from the competition.

Okay, on December 2, when I took off for the mountain lands of Oregon, PT was at 45% and VV2 at 70%.

I returned yesterday (Dec. 16), promptly thawed out and checked the Previews.

The progress hasn't budged even ONE percent. In two weeks.

Well this isn't really on topic, but I've finished everything except for buy my last medical thing i put someone on the cave after it got opened, and a screen popped up that said somethings and at the end it said they found fresh berries like someone had just recently been there... does the next one start out with a guy on the other side of the cave? My friend thinks that the cave is a portal to VV2. and also does the next one start out with all of the villagers that i have now? like if we put in some kind of code or something?

I am soooo ready for vv2....

It is so awesome to see that the bar jumped from 70% to 95%. I was so ecstatic because I was checking it almost everyday when it jumped up to 70%. I gave up checking the previews for awhile and after one month I decided to check it once more trying not to get my hopes up and TADA! 95%! Thanks for keeping us updated!

Each chapter of Virtual Villagers is a standalone game, and doesn't require the previous games.

So, now Arthur can put his feet up for a while and let the beta testers do all the hard work playing VV2 (all together now, "Aah...").

Once the beta testers report back all Arthur has to do is fix any problems reported. Simple, eh?

I saw yesterday that the percentage went from 97% to 98%. For some reason I get the picture in my mind of the guy that is winning the race, and stops 3" from the finish line and waits for someone else to come along to make the race interesting...

Well, mid-feb is only 5 days away. Think they can get the other 2% done in that time?? LOL

Well, on the 5th of this month, they said 10 more days if all goes smoothly. That's Thursday. I hope all goes smoothly.

Thursdays too far away.... but at least It's not coming out like in the summer or something. But I was really hoping for it to come in time for Valentines Day so I could get one for my girlfriend (our friend was playing it one day and after that we were hooked!)

How FABULOUS!!!! I signed up to find out if there would be a second installment and find out that there is, in fact, going to be one and- what's even better- it comes out in two days! I think I can manage to wait that long. I waited around longer than that just wondering if there was even going to be one.

My son and his girl friend were just here (she plays VV) and look at the screen shots and I have to say my son is a pretty big gamer, he was very impress with the graphics of VV2.

Here's what im hating right now, Im in AU and its Thursday 6:00pm and I have to wait until after school tommorow to get VV2 Ive been waiting for soooooo long... oh and also I have to type out my speech!

Ok do I have this right that there will be an add on to the current VV2? So will will be able to take the villagers we have and when buying the add on have them continue on or will we have to start a whole new game?

Each chapter of Virtual Villagers is a stand-alone game. There are no plans at this time to make add-ons or expansion packs for existing chapters of Virtual Villagers.
