I just started today and I AM ADDICTED. I need to get more tech points quicker. Anyway to get points faster or do anything faster. I am afraid my berry bush is going to run dry before I can do anything else. A monkey came and I lost all my tech points. Dang Monkey!!!

Does the berry tree get more berries? I have picked it clean. I am doing well with farming but would like some more options. I would think it would grow more? My villagers are running like a smooth machine now. Just hope that danged monkey does not return.

some berries should start appearing just around the start of each new crop cycle.

I have gotten tech points quicker by going into my time clock and advancing the time about an hour.I made sure that I always have at least one farmer getting the food, and the rest I put at the table to get tech points, then I advance the time. But be careful, don't advance too much.I made that mistake and it took longer for the garden to reach harvesting time.I have played this game a number of times.Every new game you play with vv is honestly different.GOOD LUCK.Great Game.

Yea only problem with advancing time is you can never go back. So if your happy with your computer in the 2007 year sure cheat . But the first time you drop it back a week to undo your advancements the farms/nursing mothers will have more time left than youll probably ever catch up to

VM is right about the clock...it can be a hazard in many ways particularly in crop times, I think the downsides outweigh the upsides....

I think the safest option to increase tech points is the "kick" trait the VV's have....when you have as many as possible on the research table, watch out for the little kick movement, when they do that they have added tech points...so keep picking them up after they kick to help increase your tech points faster.

It is time consuming, and patience is required, but if you are in a bind it does help.

Best of Irish,
Maura

I am playing Village Sim for Palm. It sounds like you all can do more than I can. I am getting frustrated with these crops. I can't get anything done because I have to keep watering them.

Watering the crops in the Windows version does nothing more than give your farmers more skill .. the crops are on a timed cycle - and it seemed to me it was the same in Village Sim. So change your farmers to researchers (or builders if you need them) while waiting for the crops to come in

I was wondering that but afraid to take the chance since they automatically went to watering when the crops disappeared. I would love to have that time to do other things. The crops seem to disappear once an hour and take about 45 min for them to come back and the more people I have the longer it takes them to come back. I am usually out of all food sources before they come back.

That's because with a bigger population you tend to increase the number of farmers, so they harvest faster, making the interim waiting time longer, though the actual cycle time is the same

so you promise me they won't die of starvation if I don't water the crops. I have faithful watered the crops from the beginning. I take every villager that can work and just water the crops until they grow. I will be forever grateful if you can promise me they won't die of starvation. My biggest fear.. I am working so hard on getting to be able to fish.

Hmm... Well so far ladyscifi hasn't nipped in to say I'm wrong, but I've gone through Sim games without doing any watering at all, and the crops kept replenishing themselves.. so I'll stick my neck out

i hope you are right since I spend most of my day watering and it is making the game kinda boring now. I could get so much more done if I was not having to water so often. thanks
