I'm still hoping that they'll make VV2 capable of being both played seperately, and chosing to use your old tribe from VV1. Depending on what you'd rather choose.

Well all I can say Paigan is SNAP!! I was thinking exactly the same thing about who's going to take care of their original villages and how many are going to forget all about them when VV2 comes out!!

I'd like to think I'll still care for them, I'd hate to have them die off from neglect!! Maybe that's wishful thinking on my part, I suppose we'll all have to wait and see how "caring" we really are, haha!!

do you forget your first born when the second child is born? sure the attention gets divided, especially early on, but you still feed the first kid, tuck them into bed, make sure they don't burn the house down....

I would hope we could integrate our current tribes into the new version...do you think that will be possible?

That would be nice if that can happen. It seems it would be more fitting if the "descendants" of the original tribe could be the ones to discover a way to another part of the island from inside the cave.

It shouldn't be too hard. Other games are capable of accessing the save files from the first games. Of course there should also be an option to stand alone as well for those who prefer that.

Judging from the hints dropped the new VVs will look slightly different to the current set, so although I suppose sexes, names, likes and dislikes, and skill levels could be transferred, they probably wouldn't look precisely the same.

That would be cool, but I think very unlikely. Due to the different looks of the villagers, different milestones and puzzles and no GC, I think it would be harder then one would think to reconcile these items.

I don't see why. If you can trade one Pokemon from an older Pokemon game to one of the newer ones then there's no reason they can't do the same with the save file of VV. Even with a change in appearence.

I don't think you can quite equate Pokemon with a concept like Virtual Villagers
