I think the most perfect a villager can get is when they have as much skill as possible in one area (or all? I have heard tell of such) and when they have two likes and two dislikes. I think you're also right about the clothes matching the head, neymar, I've had two of those naturally and one I changed the clothes for. I'm not sure there actually is a "perfect villager" though, the GC certainly isn't perfect

I don't think there is such a thing. I think it depends on your needs and where you are at solving puzzles etc. Although I do love a good runner!

I like the ones who multi-task on their own. trying to do different specialties without you training them.

I think a perfect villager is a villager who has all stats mastered, likes running, hates dancing (so they wont go to the GC's parties), hates laundry ...

While starting over quite a few times in order to get a "runner" in my village party (which I always use for farming), I came across a villager with "running, running" within his "likes." Alas, I lost him via "pilot error" before I could play him. See, I had a few games going and deleted all but the game I thought he was in. Big mistake upon my part, worthy of the coveted "bonehead" award. I think he would have made the top 5 most valuable players list without doubt (sigh)...

Perhaps you should add in "Likes work" too so they're even less likely to get distracted! ^_^

Thanks Charley! That's cool. I have enough regrets in life without adding to them. Did you play that character out until he/she died? I know that when villagers age, (elderly), they slow down considerably and then some before they die. I was wondering if a runner/runner retained some speed up until death, more so than an average villager?

Not that I've ever had one, but I'd love to have a villager who likes running and work, hates dancing and laundry, picks up whatever I want to teach him without fighting me on it, and is unafraid to spank the GC when the kid gets too annoying!

"Elderly" runners seem to slow down to the same speed as other elderly villagers. Perhaps in VV2 they could slow down to a sedate jog a little faster than the normal speed of villagers? It does seem a huge difference: one minute they are zooming around the island and the next they have slowed right down to almost a crawl. Several times I have gone for Medicine 2 or 3 earlier than I intended to stave off "elderliness" as I couldn't bear to see my once speedy runners reduced to hobbling around.

You're right, why didn't I think of that! Also, they should hate crowds so they won't celebrate any puzzle.

I completely agree Arnie. I hate it when my runners go elderly and are reduced to creeping along with the other schmucks. I think they should be reduced to the normal villagers pace when they become elderly.

got to love them runners....

My idea of the perfect villager, is the one that masters it all, and still can live on to breed their wealth of knowledge to the youngins....

imbred or not, they still work out pretty good...

I'm still new, but one of my original villagers hated "rest." She was awesome--she was always doing something useful. I guess that would be the equivalent of loving "work"?

OMG, Nemyar, that's awesome. Maybe the last day of work crew could let the vv2 villagers have more likes, dislikes, personality things. He should hate crowds too, and laundry, and GC...

Oh yeah, at my school, the teachers call my show-offy brother "The Golden Child". I thought "Well, why don't you shave him bald and give him some golden robes? Alot of people hate him, I just know it..."

They call him that because he has straight A's (like me) won a geography bee (luck) and he makes 100% of the male asian population in the 8th grade.

I had a villager that had four mastered skills (farming, reserch, healing, breeding) but he died as an adept farmer and I was so mad that I thought I was gonna burst a blood vessle!

I don't think the perfect villager exists, but if he did he might look something like the fellow below. A couple more like him and the berry bush would be stripped clean in no time, and all the huts would be Trump Towers. Not to mention the delicious frustration of the GC in a village full of such hardworking party poopers. \:\)

Who'd want their villagers to be perfect? It is their imperfections and having to rely on one another to make it that makes the VILLAGE perfect overall. OOOOOhhhhh. Deep thought. Head hurts now. Go rest.
