So with WAAAYYYY too much time on my hands I wanted to see how many kids I could manage to get in a village. Before today the record from a previous village was 54. Today I noticed a swarm of kids. I paused it and counted....60 KIDS!!! So I thought I'd post it and have people post their largest group of kids on here too!!!

A kid must be under 14 and over 2. So if we dont think about twins or triplets, ONE woman can hold SIX kids in the mean while. So one family (mother and kids) have seven members. Limit of population is 90. We also need a male adult as father, so we get 89. 89 / 7 = 12 (remainder is 5). So we can make 13 families, each have one female adult and six kids (the last one only have four kids). That means we get 6 * 12 + 4 = 76 kids. But twins and triplets can increase this number. If all the females always produce triplets, one single woman can hold 18 kids! So 89 / 19 = 4 (remainder is 13). We need five mothers and 18 * 4 + 12 = 84! 84 kids in your village and they are all triplets!

I once had a whole village that had only kids in it! About 50 of them!

I went from population 36 to 90 recently--my baby boomers and the grandchildren of my boomers (who were also boomers) all had children at the same time. 54 kids--about the same as preacherswife and batgrl. Not as many as some other people on here, but I think it's cool how it happened: Big boom+big boom=bigger boom!

Last night I came in one of my villages and there was 0 food for 77 people. The only adult man I had was working the field (but he WOULD NOT fish for some reason no matter how much I dropped him in, and he is a master farmer (huh?). There were 2 elderly ladies helping out very slowly and 3 pregnant ladies - the rest were all children (71).

I was panicking because it was time for me to go nighty night, but everytime some crops went in the bin they seemed to disappear as quickly. I begged GC to help out(by dropping him on the food bin), but he was busy playing and dancing. I franticly searched around for mushrooms and tried to get as many kids on them as I could. I was clicking every kid who was 13, every couple minutes, hoping they would finally be able to help. We got the food back up to around 200, and then here comes a typhoon or something and the food disappeared again. GC still didn't help. I think it was a little over an hour later, the ladies stoppped nursing and went back to work, one child turned 14 and started fishing, then GC magically created food a couple times, so this village made it thru the night. This morning, all of the 13 y.o.'s were 18, so I can get away from this computer today (I hope).

where is this "away" you speak of?

Yes, there is a life beyond Isola, Eyeshigh. I must confess I have ventured there in brief moments when the tribe has been busy in the fields. This will just be a secret between the two of us now, until the time when the others are ready to know...

FishyFrances, if you can make some time each day for Isola, the time you spend "away" won't be so dreadful -- you'll take a little bit of the island with you, and those lagoon waters actually ARE the true fountain of youth, but again, this is another secret, not to be divulged until such time as when the others are ready to know... Heehee.
