Hi all, i have a little question about backup files you make

If you make backup files, and you put them somewhere else than the VV folder, do they still get affected by the time?
f.e , you make backup files of a village, put them somewhere else and then you turn the clock 1 year forward.
I don't want to try myself, because i don't want to risk losing my game ( for turning the clock back to original state )

Grtz, Mynx

If you pause all of your games before backing them up, they should be *mostly* unaffected by time changes. There is no way to completely isolate savegame backups from the effects of clock changes, because the game determines what to do based on when the game was last saved, what the game speed setting was, and what the current system clock setting is. As long as the games are paused, they won't be ruined by time going forward from when they were last saved. However, certain facets of the real-time engine can be adversely affected by time going backwards, even when the game is paused.

Ok, thank you
That is what i wanted to know.
I'm not going to try it if it could damage my game, and it can
If i want to know what will be of my town over a year , I will just need to wait a year
