Edit: I shouldn't say not sure i know you can in powerpoint, and since its microsoft i imagine the same method would work in word and similar applications from microsoft but i never tried. But yes Camtasia works pretty good. I had another one called Screen Capture i think or something id have to look in my application archive but it worked good too. Windows movie maker is like the golden chalice, its so simple to use and i love its basic editing capabilities for small clips. I make home movies when i take trips on my camcorder and edit them with movie maker all the time. The only thing i've found you cant capture from your desktop is Streaming video be it DVD or from a website. It just shows up black space, the audio from the clip on the other hand....
