Mine would be the big wave, whats yours?

i hate it when they wipe out all of my food when I have millions accumulated and 90 villagers to feed...ugh

oh come on you and i both know it only takes about 2 days and your up over 500,000 food again

Unless you're starting a new game and have 7 villagers and struggling to maintain a few hundred food in the bin!

how long it takes to fix isn't the problem.

actually, i also hate the dream events because i already know where stuff is, so its no longer useful to me

I think that I would agree on the dream event. Or events that give me a master researcher after I have level 3 in all of the tech.

I don't mind losing all of the food, as Monk said, it doesn't take long to get it back, especially if the GC is helping replensih the berries and crops.

I don't like losing Tech or a villager at the beginning of a game. I still feel bad for poor Cheop, the last of his tribe. In the hard game that replaced Cheop's tribe, I lost two kids at a critical time (one was 12 the other just turned 14...) I was waiting for them to be old enough to help work at the research table.

Definetly the vapor poisining then you have to make a healer and then they heal that and they start losing health

I'm sick to death of that stupid wave too. In one of my games, I've had the wave event like three times in quick succession.

The whale one. breaks my heart to have to chose. Cause one time I needed the food my villagers where starving.

Mine has to be the wave or the parrots or the locusts that wipe out all the food when I've just started a village. I lost one to starvation because of that.

The other one I hate is the tidal wave or typhoon or whatever that causes debris to collect on the beach! It takes FOREVER to get the builders to clear the beach after they've tasted of the GC's delights.

Yeah but the debris one is good because it gives you the opportunity to train someone in building while there may be no other building projects happening.

The stupid monkeys that mess up the research table without helping the research!!!!!! It takes away from the research!!!! Dumb Monkeys....lol

yeah sometimes they help, and you gain tech, but sometimes you lose if they just mess stuff up....I've never had the wave or parrots.

In all the games I have played I have never gotten the whale.

It's a lot easier (and quicker!) to tell if the task of clearing the beach is successful. If they walk away with the wood, they've gained some building skill. When fixing a hut you don't know until the end when they shake their head.

I just got this event and I've never seen it before, in my game or in the forum...Has anyone seen this? What did you choose and what was the outcome???

I have got that event many times. In my experience, if you tell the stranger to leave, a disease sweeps through your tribe, but if you allow him to gather samples, he does, and then you gain tech points, I think.

Do the "share what you have" good deed. I'm sure you'll love it..
I was obviously typing while you posted.. that's such a great event to get when you've got level 2 medicine.... no plodding to get the most points you have to get for any tech in the game

I have seen this event several times and I believe the best thing to do is let the man gather samples. There will be a positive payoff for doing so.

I've seen that in my game; kinda reminds me of Gilligan's Island. You know, they can't get off but every week someone else is visiting the island! Duh!

I know that's what I was thinking..."Why wouldn't anyone go with the guy?"...LOL who knows, it was cool though cause this was one of my games I've had forever but never raised the medicine past L2 cause I wanted to see how many tech point I could get and see if anything would happen to make up for not having L3...guess I got my answer!!! LOL Thanks for all your help guys!!!

one thing about the event about the stranger for me it always happens when im starting so its eaither disease or i get med help but get like 48 food oh and it seems that you got low food in it to there batgrl2u

I hate the spiders in the crate. Once it killed a 6 year old girl.

Worse than the tidal wave, worse than the monkeys messing up the research table, but sort of a combination of both: pet knocks over full cup of coffee, shorting out your laptop thereby stranding all your little villagers permanently. At 9 pm on Christmas eve when there's no chance until Tuesday to find out if my hard drive is recoverable and it's just the processor that's shorted or whether everything's truly dead.

Not a very happy Christmas on my version of Isola! Thanks to LDW for backup downloads / registration keys, so that I can start a new game on my desktop PC. It would have been the real crowing blow if I had to pay again, having only bought the game 3 days ago.

That's why if I see the CDRom in the store, despite already having the game, I'll buy the rom as a backup. It has come in handy with other games.

I hate the diaper event, the monkeys, and that stupid blessing days celebration! They're either useless or annoying.( especially since I was disappointed that I got the blessing day instead of juicy steaks.)

The Monkeys can sometimes be useful, but I agree about the diapers and blessing days celebration.

I wouldn't mind them so much except that events come so rarely, I hate to have it be wasted on something that doesn't really have an effect on the game.

Sometimes whether I like an event depends on what point in the game I'm at. Getting tech points or a master scientist after I've bought all the tech is useless, and turning a villager into a child when you have very few working adults can be frustrating also.

When I lose a mum and a babe in arms. That breaks my heart. I know that its a game, but still :...(
