Anyone know of any ways to gain more tech points or gain them faster. I am really just starting out and very new to the game, but I have 4 villiagers on research right know, but its taking for ever to gain points.

As their skills increase, they will gain points more quickly. Also, buying science will make them earn points more quickly (but I suggest food before science).

Lately, I've been getting science (and medicine) before food, but I've been playing this for a while and have a bit more expeience in watching for problems and hunting mushrooms.

For a first time/new player it is probably better to go for the farming tech first.

But new players should not be in such a rush to get that first hut done. The extra population will just eat more food, and the villager is better off adding to the research team.

You can always do the "kick trick". Watch their legs, everytime a researcher kicks their legs, you have gained tech points and they have increased their skill. Put them back to the research table to do it again. If you put the game on 1/2 speed, you gain tech points without your villagers getting older.
