I would ... except... Barbara asked us to research level 3 in patience. I took it as a "hint". (heavy sigh) Pretty much everytime I write about my affliction I want to ask Arthur and Carla if they feel GUILTY. Then when I read where they are right now and how much FUN they are having, I get the strange feeling they don't feel one ounce of guilt. Saw yesterday it's still only 70% complete. (banging ahead against padded cell walls). IS tempting to want a great hand coming out of the sky and putting them back up to the research table. That's what they say they ARE doing - just in a really nice location and having fun while doing it. I do wish I was having as much fun waiting for it as they are making it. Would love to put myself in their shoes but since I don't have the tiniest microgram of their talent, heavy sigh... here I wait in my cell, drinking a glass of Maura's wine and drowning in my sorrows. I can smell the candles wafting from your room... hear the soft melodies as the harpist gently strokes the strings... snug in my jacket as what's left of my sanity floats away into the night.

I'm fine. It's one of "those" days. Lot on my mind and believe it or not, "some" of it has nothing to do with VV. Flabbergasting... I know... as your jaw drops to the ground. As incredible as it sounds, there are times when I... dare I say it... am not thinking about VV. Fifty lashes with a wet noodle. Nothings wrong.... other than my mind and it's been agreed upon that's a given. The fireplace and rocking chair sound GREAT, and of course, Max is the icing on the cake. Mine are all sleeping (and snoring) around me, oblivious to my ponderings. And why I shouldn't they be, I, myself just zoned out and caught myself staring at the screen for the last 15 minutes. If you're wondering what I was thinking about, you're giving me too much credit in assuming I was thinking. I just checked and my mind said it was out to lunch. No specified time on when (or if) it will return.

I thought I'd find you in the "asylum". It seems our numbers from RA have dwindled. Irishmaura still posts from time to time but I haven't seen anything recent from grace. I'm here now because there are no familiar faces out there lately.
I don't know how long I will be around because now I can't login using my password. Everything was going fine all this time and then the other day I tried to login and couldn't. They tried sending me a new password but that did not work either. And besides, I would rather have my old password back. If I have to use one of their passwords, I don't know if I will be a member of this forum anymore. I hate typing upper case and lower case letters. It gets on my nerves big time. There is not even an option of resetting my password. And I don't want to cancel and then re-register because I'll lose whatever status I have.
I think all this waiting is getting to me. If anyone holds a vigil outside the offices of ldw, let me know. I'll be right there sitting with you guys. Can you imagine them looking out their office windows and seeing a sea of people chanting "VVttwwwoooooo" over and over and over and....
Anyway, hopefully ldw can resolve my problem for me soon. I guess I'll change my village from Halloween to Thanksgiving mode. Trying to find things to do while waiting for part 2.....Zzzzzzzzzzzz.

Welcome my dear, have you just come for a visit or are you staying ?? If staying, the "girls" need to know how to decorate your cell. Well it keeps them amused and stops that internminable chanting !! Anything goes - no matter how wild it will be done. It will be your cell but remember they don't allow computers or VV - thats how we all are the way we are - we just have to remember or imagine LOL !!

I guess I could stay. And since fall is upon us, I think I would like a summer theme for my room. I'm not sure of details just yet as far as decorating. I know I would have to think it over while sitting in a patio chair and drinking a tall glass of iced tea or lemonade. And with a fan on me on low speed to imitate a summer breeze. Aaaahhhh!! How I miss days like that already. Perhaps someone could paint a mural on the walls and ceiling to resemble the outdoors. That would be a good start right there. But I have to admit it will be tough going without computers and VV! I hope music is allowed or at least someone with a decent voice is going to have to sing once in a while and be willing to take requests. And maybe some of the others can find things to use for instruments. Maybe we can use the drum from the village school when its not being used. Sounds like a plan to me! How about it? Can anyone sing if we can't have radios or CD players?

Hey Great Idea There are loads of empty cells so how about the "girls" decorate with one for every season ?? I love the Autumn too but when I get too cold I could quickly scurry along to Summer for a quick heat up LOL !!

My dog Max is definitely one of the inmates now !! He was terrified of all the fireworks last night but absolutely refused to leave his bone !! Guess he figured thats what all the commotion was about - somebody trying to get in and take his bone LOL !!
I was just praying he didn't creep into my bed during the night with that huge smelly, slimy thing !!

I was told that there is a pretty pink padded room in here me....awww there it is I don't like red wine can I have white?

Actually, grl, there is a drum in the common room - it's used to call all inmates to gather around and do the VV2 chant. Barbara even comes around now and then to "teach" level 3 in patience. poooooooooor Barbara, even though everytime she shows up and the quote below my activity states, I have improved in this skill, when looking at my details, the skill line REFUSES to budge. Alas, my "skill" still claims that I am untrained. I return to my cell: unsure what to do.

Oh spdrgrl, how about a "Raffles" theme for your room. Dark wood floor and shutters on the windows which also have cream voile curtains. A wood burning stove to bring warmth and a cosy feel to the room. Cream coloured walls with ivy stencils around the windows. Pale green chaise lounge with a green velvet throw and cushions, Some huge potted plants (ferns, fig and rubber). And a lovely ceiling fan to keep you "cool". Oops, almost forgot, a wine rack in the corner, haha!! And how about some lovely crystal wine glasses and scented candles on a mahogany side board.....now, what colour would you like your strait jacket??

Greetings, fellow inmates! I don't know if I need to be drinking any wine. I would probably get light-headed from just taking a whiff of it. The only time I drink is when I go out dancing. Which is rare these days. The last time was two years ago when I went to a Mexican lounge with my daughters. Both my daughters are married to Mexicans and my oldest speaks Spanish whereas my youngest only knows a few words and phrases. One big difference is my oldest took Spanish in high school.

I don't think Barbara can "teach" me level 1,2,3 or whatever in patience either. I think we are alike on that point.

Maura! There you are! I have been wondering where you were. I guess you squeezed in while I was typing my other post. I would have had it up sooner but my favorite soap is on and I was typing during the commercials.

I guess dark hardwood floors would be okay just as long as some brightly colored throw rugs are put down. I like things bright and cheerful. A wood burning stove, huh? I haven't seen one of those since I was a kid on my grandparents' farm.

And the scented candles sound nice too. Maybe a tropical scent or something flowery.

A light shade of blue sounds nice as far as the jacket. Blue is a relaxing color for me and would be helpful keeping me calm while waiting for VV2. And as far as the wine rack, stock it with both red and white so my guests will have a choice.

I have successfully taken the keys away from VI!!!!!! He is not allowed to leave. If we're stuck here, so is HE. I mentioned to the guys in white coats that a "monk" needs capturing. He is resisting but... all in good time... all in good time.

My hubby has sent a black jacket.. I think he is in mourning over the "loss" of his wife. Since it is made out of silk, I can overlook his implications. I pat him on his cheek, and send him on his way. The drum beats it's time to chant. v v twoooooooooooo

I like the way you think, maura. The turquoise walls sound great. But instead of just yellow roses, maybe make them yellow, red, pink...whatever colors roses come in. Making each rose going around the window a different color. And a side table to go with the chaise lounge so I can set my glass of iced tea or lemonade on it when I'm not sipping on it.

Oh, yeah. The oak floor would be better, not as dark. I love that idea.

And the jasmine! I love that fragrance! I can't say it is my favorite because to me all flowers smell nice. But for now, since I'm all worked up about VV2 and am so impatient, maybe lavender might be the better choice. It is supposed to be a calming fragrance and I need all the help I can get to stay calm.

Sounds like my "room" is shaping up pretty good. I may be crazy but it looks like I'll be happy, too.

THAT IS IT !!........I HAVE HAD ENOUGH !!
sWITCHED ON TODAY TO FIND THE LITTLE *&^£%&**^ HAD GONE INTO OVERDRIVE. ALL, BUT ALL MY WEE FOLK WERE STUCK AT THE RAVE ON THE VILLAGE GREEN !! 5 mins, 10 mins they were still there getiing it down good and proper !! So, OK, they were having fun, but c'mon, they have to do some work !! In the end I had to manhandle them back to their stations. Down to the last 5 or six and then guess what ?? CORRECT !! HE CALLED ANOTHER ONE !!

Well VI, your wish is my command...Hot Pink it is!! I think with an accent of silver, though, just to add some contrast, don't you think?

So, hot pink walls, silver window blind, silver goblets for your wine/beverage of choice. And a round bed with a silver/pink star patterned throw and cushions. How about a mirror "disco" ball on the ceiling, haha!!

And round silver side tables for your goblets and remote control! YES!!! A remote control for your plasma screen telly (or is that TV in the states?).

But there's a catch, you can only choose one channel to watch from the following choices: CNN, Disney or MTV. And you may only watch for one hour per day!! Haha!!

I think also you should have silver laces on your straitjacket with matching slippers....well, if Cinderella can go to the ball, why shouldn't VI go the asylum??

Well, not just a side table for you spdr, but one with a built in freezer underneath so you can always have ice on hand!!!

You're right about all flowers being sweet smelling. I chose jasmine because it too, is known for its soothing qualities in aromatherapy, particularly when blended with rose oil. It's a sensual fragrance that is very good for the skin as well.

Lavender is more widely known, but you may just get so relaxed you might miss the launch of VV2 altogether!! Haha!! We wouldn't want that to happen now, would we??

I like the idea of a built in freezer. Of course, how can I have iced tea without the ice?

I don't think I need to be worried about being too relaxed and missing the launch of VV2. I'm sure when it comes out there is going to be a lot of screaming and hollering and the sound in the hallways that sounds like a stampede because people are running out of the asylum and back to their homes to buy and install the game on their computer.

And that is why I chose lavender instead of jasmine. Like you said, it is more of a sensual fragrance. Not fitting for when I am alone in my room in this asylum.

It seems like it's taking forever for them to finish the game. Envision this: A skeleton with womens clothes sitting in front of a computer. Cobwebs all over the skeleton, computer, chair and desk. The caption at the bottom of this picture reads: "Waiting for VV2". That would be me.

Black walls, no accent, and ill need a skylight put in so i can watch the thunderstorms, and while your at it, why not route me a T1 connection to my room so i can download all the games i want and play all day and if anyone comes to visit me ill just flap my arms and make funny noises so they will go away.

Well, if it's black you want, it's black you shall have!! And a large skylight for your "thunderstorm" viewing as well, presume you want a blind so the sunlight won't bother you, haha!

I don't know how much "flapping" you'll be able to do wearing that strait-jacket though!! But you can make all the funny noises you want, lots of oohing and uuhing like our VV's maybe, haha!!

In high school we laways found that braking like a dog (and maybe having one person making seagull mating calls) while charging at the intruders was sufficient to keep them away for weeks at a time.

Also sufficient to get a counselor called in to talk to you.
