In my *No-Fishing* Village, I NEED the GC, he needs to keep my berries ripe for the picking and my crops fully restored, otherwise my poor vilage will starve to death.... now correct me if I am wrong... but, (it seems to me anyhow)... when the game is "off" and closed... he does NOT due these 2 very vital things for my village to survive... so when I need to shut the game down and turn off my PC the game needs to be paused... otherwise my villagers all take a lot of starvation damage....

Well you could argue it differently. You've proved you can "finish" without fishing, so convince yourself that your villagers now need protein.. lol

Yeah, I noticed that when I come back to a "finished" game the berry bush is 98 or 99 and the crops are in "waiting" mode again. I haven't checked the food before and after, but I'm pretty sure that the Farmers do what they can, but the GC doesn't help.

The berry bush will replenish at 30 berries per Village year and the crops should grow also, but it might not be enough for a fully populated village.

I've also noticed that the GC will keep keep adding to the berry bush (400 berries at a time) indefinately, so you may want to build up lots of berries before you shut it down.

Either that or keep the no fishing game on 1/2 speed so they eat less per "off" time.

I've also noticed (when I've forgotten to ensure there's a healer in the village) that sometimes I'll come back and he obviously hasn't thrown a party for a while because the elderly villagers will be really sick with hardly any health left. Within five minutes of me starting to play (and while I'm training the new healer by fixing every one up again) the GC will throw a party again and heal every one immediately.

Sounds like the GC is only what we call and "eye-servant"... only works when you're watching him
