I have a few villagers who seem very, very close to Master Builder status. I have kept them on fixing the huts for the past couple of days and they've yet to reach that status. Are they actually gaining skill from this?
I'm really anxious to solve my last puzzle.

They gain skill - but its slow I know - seems to take them days and days to "learn" anything at fixing the huts - and sometimes the huts just dont need fixing so they just inspect them and then you get a message saying - This hut is in good condition or something ... cant remember exactly what it says ... Just be patient they WILL get there eventually

I don't know if this is definite so someone may want to verify this, but it seems that if someone is fixing a hut and gaining skill slowly on thier own that if I pick up the person and place them back down on the hut that I get the "this villager has improved at construction" more often. Would lifting them up over and over make the skill level go up faster. I am pretty sure this is what happens with the breeders too. Let me know if I am wrong about this! Thanks!

Thanks Kaimi.

Fluteteacher, I will give that a try right now. I'm so anxious to get this last puzzle solved, lol.

I've been checking my logs and no one seems to be getting any building skill.
Unless it's labeled as research successful?
Or does it show skills gained?

You won't find a record of the improvement of villagers' skills in the log file. It doesn't show everything that happens in the game. The log file was used during development to display specific information, and Arthur decided to leave it in when the game was released.

I woke up this afternoon to a Master Builder and enough tech to get my last level of medicine thank goodness. My highest skilled builder had just hit age 62, and was scared he wouldn't make it to Master Builder status, lol. Now he's up running around like normal again. Thanks for the help everyone. Working on solving my last needed puzzle now.

This may have been posted somewhere before, but I just noticed if you keep dropping a person on a skeleton over & over without picking it up they improve in healing & become master healers really quick. Before you say it I know it isn't right, but hey it works. Same thing for master builder take one guy to clear the blockage, as soon as he picks up a rock have him drop it. It doesn't clear the blockage any faster but gets them to master a whole lot quicker.

Be careful dropping female villagers onto skeletons though, lol, I've had a few of them miraculously become pregnant that way!
