3 separate times now, I have had a women go into the hut by themselves and have children. This is not a joke! I was watching the screen. They were walking around, embracing, but no one came yet next thing you know they're going indoors on their own and the population count rises.

What the heck's goin' on here??

~EDIT~ I forgot to mention also that one of my female villagers will be in the middle of doing something and will begin running away from absolutel nothing!

There are a lot of things that can cause such a situation. It's been around since the days of Village Sim for Palm. You can read more about it here.

The villager is old, so it's particularly funny to see her constantly running away from thin air. As for another. Two girls walked out of the hut, no guy whatsoever, yet one came out nursing. Now that was rather wierd.

I wish I could find out who these nursing women were supposedly inpregnated by. I haven't shut off the game yet, still the log doesn't seem to work.

The log is written when you exit the game, so you won't see what you're looking for until you exit!

Perhaps it's the ghost in the machine?

I had 2 guys go in with my 1 woman somehow... My little girl was standing there watching and said hey maybe now she'll have twins...LOL

I've seen sometimes where a pair will mate, but one of them will be elderly and slow, and by the time they reach the hut, the other one has already been there and left. So they will still go in by themselves, but the female will come out with the baby. As to the running away part when there was no attempt from another villager to breed, I'm not sure.

I sometimes think of the "love shack" as the Maternity Ward instead.

A woman goes in and comes out carrying a baby. Sometimes her mate is there with her, sometimes he is late on the scene and othersjust anticipating the event.

Unfortunately there are also times when there is no baby. Possibily "false alarms" or miscarriages.

If two people agree to go indoors they walk at their own speed. Now if you have one of those speedy girls, she will make it into the hut and out long before the guy gets there. The thing is that at the time if when you put them together and they are going to have a baby, the number of villagers changes at the same time that they agree to go indoors. So the stats have already been registered. Now if they are walking to the hut and the number hasn't changed they aren't going to come out of that hut with a baby. So if you are trying to get children and the number doesn't change you don't have to wait for them to go in and out the hut. Just put them together 3 or 4 more times and one of those times it will announce that - she nursing, and you say What? and a baby will pop in her arms right on the spot because after she is registered as a mom, you can't make her do anything else. So she won't even try to go into the hut if you mover her after the number of villagers changes. I have taken this way too serious... I know.

For the 2 guys and one girl. When one of the group got split up from a pair due to speed then the other guy might be going in there later at the same time that the other couple does. It happens more often when you have a young female and an old man. It doesn't seem like they can ever get the couple inside at the same time.
