Huh.

That is interesting Abbey. I have heard (tho, I'm not sure that it's true) that one could technically have twins by two different fathers... (I watch soaps you see) but I had never heard of twins by two different mothers! One of your doctors must have had a fertility clinic on the last island...

LOL! On my favorite soap opera I was shocked when I caught up after some time away that a major character has a son that she never knew about before! (An embryo moved to a different host mother...)

Technically a woman can have twins by two different fathers. There are two types of twins. Identical twins are born of the same egg, splitting after fertilization. Twins that are not identical are born when more than one egg is released, and both are fertilized.

In real life, however, sometimes siblings closely resemble each other, even if they have differnt fathers, or even different mothers. It depends entirely on genotypes and phenotypes- or which genetic material is a) passed on and b) dominant.
