Good, keep it up. I hope you can keep her alive until she reaches 14.

I just had a similar thing happen to me in a game I recently started. Though Cheop was 12 when I found him.
I found mushrooms for him to pick to build up the food supply. At first I had it on 1/2 speed to try to spread out how often he needed to eat in comparison to how often he found mushrooms.
When it was really low, I would put the game on PAUSE and then just wait for a mushroom to popup. (He didn't age during that time, but he also didn't weaken any more...)
When he turned 13, I figured I had enough food for him in order to put the game on 2x speed in get him to 14 more quickly and let the game run for an hour.
I came back to an Island event (500 food in a crate!) and Cheop was ready to work!
He farmed "over night" and has plently of food (the adults managed to get the farming level 2 before they died), so he is researching today while I'm at work. I'll be going for level increases in science (to earn more points per research) and medicine (to help him live longer) before any other the others (even to bury the adults) in hopes that an even with infants comes along soon.
P.S. my event occured after Cheop "came of age." I read on this forum that events won't show up with only kids in the village.

You can't do much except help her pick mushrooms... you can't take kids to the food bin.. but she WILL continue to eat and get stronger as time goes on as long as there's enough to eat. I suggest you pause the game whenever you're not actually there until she's 14 and can harvest....

well you once you're going to keep hunting for mushrooms you could unpause it (and run it at 1/2 speed). If it gets down to 8-10 points of food in the food bin, then it's emergency time and I'd pause it again then till you find another mushroom or two Good luck!

when your villager becomes an adult it will open the game up to causing events. you just have to keep playing until an even brings you a male villager. good luck

Thats good. let her eat as much as she needs. If you run low on food, pause the game and wait to find more mushrooms. When she hits 14 she will be able to gather food for herself.
Remember that keeping the game on 1/2 speed will make her age slower, but it will give you more time to gather mushrooms. If you are going to run the game on 2x speed to get her to age faster, watch the game closely. It would be a shame for her to die now.

Put your game on pause and focus on a spot where mushrooms appear (the top near the graveyard and cactus is a good spot...) When a mushroom appears quickly put Kiki on it and unpause the game. She'll take it to the food bin.
When you've done this 3-4 times, she'll have enough to supply her for a while and you can let the game run for a bit so that she'll age.
In my game where I had only one child, Cheop was 12 when I found him, so I didn't have long before he could start foraging and farming on his own. He is now 23 and waiting for an event that will bring another villager to keep him company. (So far I've only had a crate with more food and the bad monkey who stole Tech points...)

the only thing i can tell you is pause it and go searching for mushrooms until you build up your food supply. Your villager wont age but mushrooms will still appear

You should probably worked level three medicine next. That will be your best bet for her living long enough for an event that brings additional villagers (and then wait for them to grow up if infants!)

are events contingent on real hours played or on actual time the game is running? i know it is random, but if that "random clock" runs when the game is paused, then the best strategy would be to pause the game for a day or two and wait.
i know that every time i come back after a weekend there is an event waiting when i unpause my game....

The event timer is a real time clock. You can see the next "trigger" time in the log. It was posted that the events (after the first two) occur approximately every 20 hours. So if you come back to the game after that time, you'll see a new event. However, if you come back to the game after several days, you'll still only see one event.
