You also managed it without scientists racking up millions of tech points!!! I've found that getting level 3 in everything at least means that the villagers can concentrate on other projects like building... Congratulations!

I had a small village to begin with - is hard to maintain of village or 10-15 villagers without fishing - but being small I was able to work with them all - made sure they all had at least Adept in everything but Breeding - this way I was able to change their preferences when I wanted to - when was waiting for crops - could change the pref of my 8 adults to research - when crops came up they would either start gathering on their own or I could change half of them back to farming. When came close to the "end" I change 2 to building and let them work on the temple and idol, then had them dig the treasure after that and water the field.

This took me weeks to do. I screwed up in the beginning and had too many villagers to support and they all died except 2 5 yr olds - one boy and one girl. So took me awhile to build them 2 them up. Can ask VI and IBTeri, I was nearly in tears trying to baby those 2 so I wouldnt have to start over again .

I guess that I don't get quite as attached to my villages. I'll probably always keep the one I have where the GC vanished, but the others I may get bored and change. Also, when I started playing at the beginning, I started over a village that only had females after a crisis (didn't know about the Hard Tribe then...)

But now I have a village where everyone gets at least Adept in all skills (even breeding!) and others where they just do what they want with an occasional nudge (especially after "the end."

Though one hard game I recently started, I came home to the four adults all dead and a 12 year old very hungry (my farmer died first, and the other adults just kept at the research table...) The adults had started farming, so that was all set, and I just needed to find a few mushrooms until Cheop got old enough to work the farm. He's now 17 and adept in Farming and Research and waiting for the "right" event to come along.

I may start a new game where I see about getting to the cave with as few other puzzles as possible.

The way one of my two games is turning out, I may be doing the same thing. The peeps in my village want to do everything except research...and they do it all soooo sloow. I was dancing a happy dance when they got Harvest.

What are the opposite of runners??? Slugs??? If so I have them all.

Sigh.

Amazing! I'm not going to try it though. Even on easy I can't finish more than half the puzzles before a villager dies. Sigh...*feels immensely sorry for self*
