Why do the male "Parents" choose the oldest women to take "inside"? I had a guy going after a 73 year old woman. And she had a baby. I really felt for her.

That is how they are programed. They will always start with the oldest and work there way down the "list". :O

In that case, I guess this game isnt as realistic as I thought.

Well in some cultures they want to pair up and have a child with the "wisest, most noble" member of their village, wouldnt you?

Yea if you go for the whole genetics passing on and knowledge then sure i can see that. Id want my kid to be a prodigy too

not top mention ... point my friend just made ... you'd also want your offspring to have a) chance of being the leader one day; b)and long life.....

Hmm I don't know. In my culture (which was a tribal one not too long ago) the emphasis was more on 'skin groups', ie avoiding interbreeding, not banging as many babies as we could out of the oldest mums in the village.

Generally, our elders would have a hand in raising all the children, not just their genetic offspring, this way skills were passed on to all.

Realistically, mothers rarely reproduced past late 30's early 40's in a tribal society, it was just too dangerous healthwise for mother and baby. The skills that a 40 year old woman had developed over her years were just too valuable to the tribe to warrant risking her life making a baby.
