There is doubt in the minds of some VV players about the oldest villager statistic being correct. No one seems sure to have seen a live villager as old as the one given in the stats. My oldest is listed as 80, and I saw him when he was 79, so so far, it seems working alright for me. Can I expect this mis-recording in the future?

Thinking... scary, I know.... but maybe the villager that comes onto the island with some building skill eventually learned how to row that boat. I remember reading on the other board where one real-live 14yr old boy surmised that the "smart" ones died trying to get the idiots in the boat. I failed to see the logic in saving the village idiots - how did they think these idiots were going to survive if they couldn't even recognize a berry bush was FOOD? One of the "smart" ones should have been "smart" enough to realize they needed to be on that boat. Applying real-world logic just ruins the game. HAHAHAHA
