There is no mushroom patch. Mushrooms will come up all over the village, so you have to go hunting for them.

There isnt actually a "mushroom patch" There are two things people are referring to. One is an event where you find a mushroom patch according to the dialogue and can either harvest them or let them go. The second is a method of tricking the game. If you see a mushroom, you can pause the game and drop a bunch of kids on it then unpause the game and each kid will pick up the same mushroom and return it for more food. People are starting to call each mushroom a mushroom patch since they can technically carry more than one back from the same mushroom. Each one taken back also adds to your mushroom count.

You cheaters

Some people would debate whether taking advantage of a game glitch is actually cheating since its possible. Who knows hehe but its fun to try.

I knew that they pop up in all kinds of places, but the way I was reading the thread, I thought the "Mushroom Patch" was you have to do something special to get it or it was supposed to be the lettuce looking thing LOL.... I understand now there isn't really a mushroom patch

Now if I can just get the little brat to pick it up instead of being oblivous when it's right in front of them...

I don't consider it cheating since:

1) It can be done with just using game controls (i.e. not hex editing) just like using F6 to change the clothes
2) It actually requires some skill. You still need to hunt and find the mushroom, and decide whether to rsik a few seconds drumming the kids to school or just find the kids on your own. Then there is a limit to how long the mushroom will last for how many can be "picked" so you have to be pretty quick to get more than one mushroom.

Mushroom patch ? Monkeys ? It's not that we need food on the island as we have over 2 million, but I need some excitment. My peoples will not bang on the drum

you have to click on the drum yourself your villagers wont do it.
