Yesterday my kids were renaming the characters in one of my villages after themselves. Cynthia names one of the Master Healers after herself (because she liked the dress). Later on, Cynthia wanted to check on how her character was doing, and she noticed that the villager suddenly did not like papaya. Now, Cynthia was thrilled because she too does not like papaya.

The deal is, that when Cynthia chose her villager, there were no likes or dislikes listed.

What happened to change her mind? I know that dreams and other events can change things, but I didn't know that spontaneous changes could occur. Has anyone else had this happen? Is there a particular reason for it?

Cynthia is "convinced" it is because the character in the game wants to be more like her. Help.

I have not seen that in any of my games, nor have I heard of anyone else having a like problem. Maybe, like you, the villager has a multiple personality disorder?

I had more changes!! Now this one, Cyndi, likes papaya and dislikes fish.

Can they change when they cross over to being elderly? Or when they have babies (that is the only commonality Cyndi and Cynthia have, they are elderly and still having babies).

Also, a 30 yr old with no breeding experience suddenly likes papaya.

I just noticed that the thing that is changing on all of them is papaya. Hmmmm, can that have something to do with it?

Did you find a crate of papaya or something? I've never actually noticed it myself but what if there's something that makes some of them change in response to an island event (ie choosing whether or not they like papaya after having to eat heaps of it hehe).

Well after cleaning the beach one of my workers developed a dislike for driftwood!

And some of my children develop a dislike for drums! They must hate school!
